Went here before New Year's eve and the Japanese lady server I got was rude af. The restaurant was busy with online order pickups when I got there so I didn't bother the server to ease her workload when I arrived.
Patiently waited when they accomplished most of the orders and I then asked for the menu and she straight up gave me attitude saying I should've informed her like? Miss girl.. It's not that deep. I nicely asked for the menu so just give it and go lol. She was running around grabbing online orders so I patiently waited for the right time to ask for the menu but I ended up getting attitude like?
When I paid, I definitely didn't gave a tip considering her poor customer service. She then got mad and started to slam things?? I'm like??? LOL. With that attitude baby you are ABSOLUTELY getting NOTHING. Very deserved. Don't get mad when you get 0 tips when tipping is completely optional.
I also ordered for 2 sojus for take out and when I paid, she only gave me one. Turns out, she only charged me for one and she got mad?? I'm like????? You're mad for what? Maybe listen carefully next time?
I had to ask for an extra bag for the soju as well bec I know the paper bag she initially gave was SO thin and it might break when I walk out.. She got even more mad telling me why do I need an extra bag? I'm like????
I'm the type of person who would never complain and retaliate so I just laughed and smiled when I walked out but remembering that night, I hope the management reassess the employee as it might further affect the reputation of the restaurant. Please check your CCTV because she probably victimized more customers besides myself.
I feel bad for the other employees as they were really nice. The short hair with glasses (?) and the ahjumma greeted me HNY. They were both very attentive and nice. Food was okay and they served them very fast so that was really nice as well. Restaurant has also a HUGE selection of soju flavors so that was a plus! Ambiance is nice as well. Overall, would still recommend especially for first time visitors like me in Montreal who craves for...
Read moreThis was the best dining experience I’ve had in a long time. Not only is this the best Korean food I’ve had in Montreal and South Shore (we are big fans of Korean food), the woman and girl who were working today were truly phenomenal. The older woman was truly such a treasure when it comes to customer service, even sliding an extra table over so my husband could put his coat on the chair so the bottom didn’t touch the floor (totally unprompted). She also made sure we had plenty of water and was kinder than anyone I’ve ever had the pleasure of having service from. She offered everyone hot tea, even those waiting for takeout, which was really kind. Now the 🔥FOOD🔥! The tteokbokki was cooked to perfection (the rice cakes were the perfect texture, the fish cakes were phenomenal and the sauce was hands down the best tteokbokki sauce I’ve ever tried), the chicken dumplings were fantastic, but the true star of the show was the boneless chicken - cooked to perfection, incredible batter, not too heavy and very tasty. And finally, the 호떡 (hotteok) is a must try. I find it difficult to find places that will make hotteok in Montreal, and this one certainly didn’t disappoint. I might have to swing in when I’m having a sweet craving, they were truly phenomenal.
Between the quality of the food and the kind, kind service, this is definitely an establishment worth supporting and spending your money at. We will absolutely be back, especially to try the vegetable...
Read moreWas craving fried chicken and decided to try out a new place for lunch. The place is close to Guy-Concordia station so it is easy to get to. We were greeted and they let me and my friends sit wherever we liked. The waitress then gave us the menu and let us choose between cold water and hot tea. We had a little bit of a misunderstanding because we thought hot water was an option haha. The waitress was very patient and polite though so everything went well. She then explained that there's a button at the table you can press to notify the waitress when we needed anything. For 4 people, we ordered 1 whole fried chicken plate and a half plate of sweet and hot chicken (if that's what it's called). 18 pieces is a good amount for 4 people, though slightly more would've been better :). The fried chicken though, out of all the places, was probably the best I've eaten so far! The chicken is really tender with a not too crispy and thin outer layer. The spice level was very handleable which gave the feeling of spiciness without sacrificing taste. The chicken also came with sauce for the original flavour and a tiny amount of coleslaw. We also each had a big plastic glove to use so that we don't get our hands dirty. To pay, the lady at the front was very very enthusiastic and was very willing to help us separate our bill as needed. The price is pretty much the same as other places. Overall, great service, amazing fried chicken, definitely a place to...
