Across the strip club too! Really terrible vibe. I’d honestly go anywhere else in this city: plenty of better drinks, prices and bars for games. (BEWARE: Business removes bad reviews.)

A tap beer is $14 which with tip, adds up to about $16 the same for some cider. The cocktails are more, obviously, and aren’t well-made.

The staff just chills at the bar as customers wait to be served. There’s a super cringe hierarchy too both in gender and diversity although they are apparently trying to change that, but even then, you’re likely just gonna be a busser talked down to by the “boss” who doesn’t know how to do his own job.

You don’t have to be good at your job, either. And you can be rude to customers and not serve them if you don’t support their team of choice. Nepotism and friends is why quality of service and how they treat customers doesn’t matter, and why they all look the same. No consequences.

While exploring Montreal over the weekend, we stumbled upon Midway, not once, but twice during a bit of spontaneous bar hopping. It wasn’t on our radar; we just happened to wander in while strolling down Saint Laurent Blvd. From the moment we walked in, there was a vibe. The bartenders felt like old friends- laughing, joking, and welcoming everyone with ease. As luck would have it, we arrived during the bar’s birthday weekend, so the place was buzzing with celebration.

What made it truly memorable wasn’t just the drinks or the music, but the people behind the bar. They were genuine, chatty, and even gave us a list of other local gems to check out. Their energy was contagious - we had a great time because they were clearly having a great time.
