Went to Le Central Manger in CARRÉ SAINT-LAURENT and (sadly) choose to eat dinner at Le Gras Dur and ordered two cheeseburgers, one onion rings, one (add on) poutine, and two cans of coke - total bill before tip: over $55.00

This is not a good review. Why? Bottom line. The food is sub par, and the pricing is based on a gourmet burger and fries etc. so what did y we get? Two cheese burgers, one onion ring, and upgraded one fri to (the smallest) poutine. Burger. Condiments were good and seemed fresh. Bun to meat ratio good. Burger meat, over cooked, was not a fresh made Pattie and the texture of it cooked was clearly apparent. The beef seasoning was non existent. Sorry, any restaurant could have served this low grade zero care burger. Poutine. Greave must be the worst in Quebec or maybe even the world. With a cooking background and years of hunting down poutine restaurants I was expecting something good at this place but sadly the gravy smelled bad, and tasted worse. This is the worst I’ve ever had to ingest and you can tell that this was not home made and the bought gravy should never be consumed. Oh, by the way, they barely put gravy on the poutine and then if you would like more as there is not much to begin with, they charge extra - laughable and a ripoff once again. The cheese curds again, par at best and did not melt in the slightest. All in all do not have poutine. I’m not saying anything about then fires as we didn’t get to eat them without sauce. But I can say that they were over cooked, you can smell dirty frier oil, and the portion of fries did not even touch the top of the mini portion. Again big rip off. Onion rings. These have to be the worst frozen onion rings I’ve ever been served. At a price of $9.00 for about 6 onion rings, they should at least taste as good as the home made ones and A&W - yes a low level fast food restaurant. Or what about being as good as Notre Dame du Boeuf, same pricing but again, thick cut, freshly made onion rings with a dip. These rings were hard, oily, can barely taste any onion nor see any onion. All i can say is this, avoid this place unless you like low quality food. Not to owners. You need not reply as it will either be an excuse or a lie. I do not wish to be reimbursed nor receive a make up meal. All I can suggest to you is as I am sure there are people who do t know better who enjoy your food, you whither keep your course or change your business strategy on how and what you do with your menu.

Service was not really there, and when ordering not even asking how we want the burgers cooked or what we want on the cheeseburger. I never tell a restaurant this to see if they will as the client. And if they don’t and serve a bad burger then I complain. In this case they gave an all dressed burger. I would say go yourself and try, but this is so bad that I would not want you to waste your time and hard earned money. There are far too many good burger and fry joints in this city so look elsewhere. Oh, total bill was over $50.00 for froze. Onion rings, shitty poutine, and two small...

I was excited to try a new burger place. For me, The best “Fast Food” burger out there is Five Guys (just my opinion). Went there with wife and daughter, keep in mind I don’t mind paying above average prices for fresh and flavorful food on the go.

I ordered 2 cheese burgers, one small fry, one large poutine to share amongst everyone, one coleslaw and 2 glasses of tap water. Before you know it, with tip I was at $48.00.

Burgers were not juicy or even warm. The condiments were so cold they cooled the entire burger to room temp. Sadly, best part was the bun.

Fries were good but I received all the burnt ends of the batch and had little to no fries longer than 2 inches, which meant they are difficult to eat with your hands and too burnt/hard to pick up with the flimsy plastic fork provided. They also charged me $1.00 for a small container of spicy mayonnaise (not spicy).

Coleslaw was traditional and but very oily and lacked punch or any flavor for that matter.

All in all, we were supremely dissatisfied. I heard they had only been open for a couple of weeks but in my experience they haven’t hit the ground running. In fact the parachute...

I was at an event over the weekend. Dear staff and owner, you folks showed up with fat in your deepfryer that should have been changed the last time the truck was used. Service was good but the food was pretty gross.

Answer to the owner/staff.

The food tasted of old/spent oil and past it's life span use. the truck we had was the burger truck I beleive. There was a small marking on the front passenger fender refering to somewhere in Laval. The event was held for supper at Le Manège militaire de Salabery, 2100 Boul. le Carrefour, Laval, QC H7S 2M7.

I guess someone stole your truck that day to come and do supper for us and returned the...

Very disappointed. We came to Gras Dur after watching Stephan on the Big Burger Battle on StactTV and were excited to try the birria burger. Sadly, it didn’t live up to expectations. The burger came without the coleslaw, which is a key part of the dish and the cashier never informed us. We went to ask for the coleslaw they said they ran out of it. If we had known, we would have chosen something else. Without the slaw, the burger was far too greasy, with no acidity to balance the richness. It was heavy and overwhelming. After all the hype, this was a real letdown.

Excellent non touristy poutine restaurant. They make everything fresh so there's quite a wait if you're hungry. Cute diner and wood cabin decor. Welcoming and friendly staff. Free popcorn. New tartar on the menu was much appreciated by my friends. The poutine sauce was different, but delicious. Several intriguing vegetarian and vegan options (like eggplant schnitzel) I would've tried had I not been craving poutine. Will definitely be back to taste the rest of the menu.

This has got to be the best poutine I have ever tasted. I keep ordering the smoked meat poutine over and over and I am just so impressed by how good it consistently is. Le Gras Dur au seriously is underrated, and I would recommend anyone in Montréal to visit this place! As an added recommendation, try the deep-fried maple leaf - they’re like fried Oreos, but the maple version, and they are SO good! I can’t wait to go back and get more of the smoked meat poutine!
