A friend and I went to this restaurant one day before the public hygiene rules allowed people to return to indoor eating inside restaurants. It had already been 2 weeks where the public was allowed to eat at restaurants if they had outdoor seating, which is restaurant has. It was 5 o'clock in the afternoon, and we went to take a seat at the outdoor tables with our meal when we noticed that the tables and chairs had probably not been cleaned all day long. We based this assumption on the fact that all of the chairs were still wet with water from the rain on the previous day. We went inside and asked an employee to clean the bird poop and other dirt off the surface of the tables And to dry the chairs. An employee happily obliged. My point here is that when you have a restaurant that is lucky enough to have outdoor seating, you should be sure to keep the tables and chairs clean at all times. An employee should be assigned to go out and check on the cleanliness of these tables and chairs every 30 minutes. The surface of the tables really was quite dirty in unhygienic. This Applied to all of the tables in front of the restaurant. We're looking forward to giving this restaurant another try again in the future, and we hope that next time the outdoor seating will be clean.
As for the actual food, I had a banh mi sandwich, and it...
Read moreAstonished by the high ratings. Strictly 2 stars for me. If it wasn't for the cheap food like 30pc discount after 9pm, this would be a 2 star.
First, its very difficult to locate because its hidden between lots of restaurants on Saint Denis and on a basement level. There is no dine in but there is seating outside in the open. No washrooms. The food doesn't taste fresh at all. They only seen to focus on quantity and price. I ended up throwing half of my food because it started going bad within 3 hours. The chicken, beef and pork especially are really stale. No veggie options and no veggies in the entrees at all.
They have banh mi which they make fresh. Also lots of prepackaged meals like rice, noodles and sushi and drinks. The meals are discount after 9pm but not the drinks. Staff is absolutely cold and not friendly at all. Leave alone a smile but they're not even interested to answer any questions about the food at all. Seating and area outside was not cleaned in hours. Lots of food and packaging strewn on tables and chairs. Very stingy with napkins and cutlery. Literally one napkin!
The final icing on the cake is the nerve to charge a compulsory tip for such basic services as a takeout counter lol. Several better Asian options around here and on Saint Catherine East. Good for a one or...
Read moreUpdate: The manager accused me of being a new immigrant even though I was born here. He said only someone who just came to Canada would not understand the situation. This type of accusation and attitude is extremely racist and unacceptable. Regardless of anyone's immigration status, there should be a standard level of professionalism from the management.
I ordered 9 sandwiches through ubereats and the store only delivered 1 single sandwich. After I called the store, the manager said I could only get a refund for 8 sandwiches despite their mistake. Instead of offering any sense of apology or remorse, the manager refused to help. He refused to apologize UNTIL I had to raise my tone for him to understand the seriousness of the issue. In the end, he still refused to offer any sort of further compensation even when the fault was made by his staff Countless other businesses have offered me compensation even when I ordered through a delivery service app during situations where I encountered an unsatisfactory issue. We were catering for an event at the law faculty. Unfortunately, they made this unacceptable mistake without any remorse....
