We had an event here at the start of June. Our first dine in experience was excellent and the waitress was above and beyond. Unfortunately our second take out experience was a nightmare.
We order very specific due to allergies. I confirmed even after paying that it was correct. One pizza was the second was not. It was not the vegan cheese aa requested. I understand mistakes happen and went over to get it fixed. When the staff member came out to tell me a time frame I asked again to confirm gluten free crust vegan cheese. He said yes. Well once I got it in the car I should have checked as it was not gluten free and did not have any of the toppings I had ordered and paid for.
I contacted the desk to say this wasn't okay but that we had already left town. She denied that any one remembers our orders. I guess our specific order of gluten free vegan cheese was common that day and lots were mistaken since she denied it happened.
They offered me a 25$ gift card only to be used at their location. Best guess is since it is a tourist destination they thought it wouldn't get used.
Enter today we are back July 12 1 month later. We cannot dine in because they do not allow dogs on their patio like other friendly boston pizzas in ontario "because children are scared of dogs". And the gift card they sent if it can be called that is for dine in only. This whole thing happened with take out.
So this gift card is really juat a game to play and not an actual apologies for not taking my order preference seriously.
I would not eat here if you have allergies or preferences because it is very clear they do Not take them seriously and they do not seem to own up to their mistakes either.
I had given them multiple chances to fix the situation prior to this review.
Boston pizza was one of the first places to provide options for those with allergies and we have been going for 15 years all over and never had such appalling service.
Eat here for sure if you have zero food preferences or allergies and you do not expect standard customer service otherwise head down the road to the amazing and cheaper Tripple O's where there is knowledgeable staff and inclusive safe menu!
Do better Boston...
Read moreI went with my parents and brother to the Boston pizza on 8444 lundys lane, Niagara Falls on Saturday June 14th for a Father’s Day lunch at 1:15 pm.
Had an absolutely terrible experience because of the server named Sofia.
We have been to this Boston pizza many many times over the last 10 years and have never had such a bad experience and that’s why we keep going back. All the servers in the past have been very accommodating, kind, polite, efficient and understanding.
The server today SOFIA is the reason we will never return to this location despite being a regular customer. It’s because of Servers like Sofia that a restaurant loses customers and its reputation goes down
First of all we waited for 20 minutes before she even attended us and took our order and the restaurant was almost completely empty. There was just one other table that was occupied. And she was unapologetic about the fact we waited for 20 minutes when the restaurant wasn’t busy at all.
Second she was extremely rude, at this point I think she was racist seeing 4 brown people
Third, my mom who is a senior with severe food restrictions brought her food in a little Tupperware jar to eat while we ordered $75 worth of food for ourselves. In the past 10 years no server has had a problem with my mom eating her own food because they were compassionate to understand that she could only eat what she brought from home. And because we order food from the restaurant for the rest of the family no server or manager has ever objected to her eating her own food. However SOFIA comes along and objects extremely rudely to her eating her own food.
I request the management of this location to question and coach SOFIA about how she should behave with customers.
Like I said it’s sad that a restaurant we have been visiting regularly for the last 10 years is forever ruined for us because of Sofia.
By the way THANK YOU SOFIA for ruining our Father’s...
Read moreTerrible food. My husband ordered pasta that was suppose to have a Bolognese sauce. Came out dry with cheddar cheese on top. Asked the server for extra sauce and it was literally just chunks of tomatoes with a little sauce if any which is not Bolognese sauce. He ate two bites of it and that was it. One before the extra sauce and one after getting “extra sauce” Waitress didn’t even ask if anything was wrong or if he wanted something else just if we wanted a box. Absolutely not. My son also barely ate any of the kids spaghetti and normally polishes off all the kids spaghetti everywhere else and asks for more. My sandwhich was “edible” but I had better. At the end paying the waitress didn’t not take off the meal not eaten and the manager gave us 3 dollars off. When we spoke to him he said the waitress said he ate over half the food. Which was a complete lie. It came with meatballs my husband did not touch was still on the plate and ate two bites and then pushed it over for her to take. So finally was taken off the bill after arguing. Would not recommend this place at all. Nothing was good. Service was slow. We were shoved back in the corner and felt like we were forgotten about. She walked by us multiple times with out any communication glancing over at us to make sure we were all set etc. Also my son didn’t even eat the ice cream and said he didn’t like it and loves ice cream. Over priced tourist trap. Do not recommend. Should have known since it’s attached to a hotel it would be crappy. I wish I had taken pictures of my husbands plate as well as my sons to prove it but never would have thought a server would flat out lie like our waitress did. Oh but get this manager asked at the very end after he was taking just my husband meal off the bill can I offer to get you anything to go....
