Yea, 5 STARS! Absolutely the best Curry Goat (Jamaican style), I've had since touring Jamaica a few years back. And to qualify this, I've been to many Jamaican restaurants from Vancouver, to Ottawa, to Toronto (east and west), To Hamilton and in-between. The perfect combination of curry, heat, tenderness and overall flavor. BRAVO! The portion (we got the large) could feed two regular (I'm greedy) people. TIP... opt for the white rice and not the rice n peas for this dish.
While I got to the Jerk Chicken (large) when it was already cold (at the hotel), it did impress as well. This one you need that rice and peas and ask for the oxtail gravy and coleslaw. Again the large order is huge (2 pieces of leg/thigh) and can feed 2 people easily.
Wish they had the oxtail for us to try, but unfortunately they were sold out at the moment and while I did want an order of Festivals, there wasn't any as well (didn't say if it was sold out or they just didn't make any this day).
I won't comment on service (wasn't bad, just wasn't existent) as I've accepted the fact that you don't go to Caribbean restaurants for a warm smile and polite welcome.
Great Curry Goat, huge portions and a full (satisfied) belly!...
Read moreI have to agree with another post. Went there at 12pm and the lady said only a few items were ready. I was taken back some as it was lunch time and the selection was slim. The lady at the counter had an attitude , it was clear. But I looked past that. I ordered fry chicken and she went in the back to warm it up in the microwave. I heard the door open and the timer go off. I do not own a microwave and hate using one.
I don't understand the attitude, I was very respectful and asked questions so I could make a selection. After all I am spending my hard earned cash. I had other places I could have gone but decided to patronize a fellow Jamaican. Even the male I was with picked up her attitude. She mumbled when she spoke and I had to ask her to please repeat herself. By no means am I over doing this. When I get good service I tip well and let the establishment know as well as the waiter or waitress. I must admit I hated that I spent $25 for food none of us finished. I am routing for your success. I realize some customers can be rude, I was not.
The place could be more comfortable for people who chose to stay and eat.

Read moreI’m honestly so disappointed with this place. I’ve been a few times & I regret it every time. I just LOVE Caribbean food THAT MUCH that I was still willing to have their food again because the other places not being able to serve. My last visit, which was today, will definitely confirm for 100% I will never return back again. I feel like the people that enjoy this place and are happy with the food are completely inexperienced with Caribbean cuisine. This taste would NEVER!!!!!!! compare to the real deal.
The food is COMPLETELY flavourless. The rice feels mushy & on top of having NO flavor, it also leaves like a weird smooth oily sort of feeling on your lips.
The jerk cuisine skin it’s like gooey-ish. Feels a bit like jelly. Definitely does not have the right flavour at all.
The curry chicken tastes like nothing. Same issue with the rice.
There is a young employee there that is always miserable.
Y’all don’t deserve to call yourself a Caribbean...
