Would be giving a higher star rating if it wasn’t for our server towards the end of the meal:
I absolutely love this place for the food, portions are huge, delicious worth the dollar, and so many options.
This is the second time I’ve dined here with my friend(s), first time we had better server experience.
There was three of us for breakfast. This time we were sat in the back section, which I did not even know existed, it’s great that they have more room in the back for bigger parties. First hand I thought it was a teeny tiny place.
(Server had section in the back, in her mid 30’s blonde hair with highlights, had coral coloured nails with a square shape, and wore an iPad sling)
Now the server….. She was nice at first, had her great customer service personality act like we all do working in the hospitality industry. Our drinks came out around 3-5 minutes after placing the order which was great, we placed our food order right after. Two of us ordered pancakes, while our male friend chose to order a lunch menu. The food came within 15-25 minutes which was a reasonable time. As always the good was amazing and too big for me to finish.
Now generally, for myself and other people I’ve dined with, we usually only take 15 minutes to eat, so we’re relatively fast. Assuming that your working a small section that would be able to check on your tables at least three time to see how they are doing. She checked on us once at first when we had at least three bites, which is standard measure. But all the other times? Always walked past us with a glare. When we were done and were clearly not touching our food for a good 20 minutes, still walked past us each time, glaring and tending to another table that was not us.
Now I understand as someone who works in customer service and hospitality, but when your busy and can’t tend to someone, let them know. Let them know that you are busy and will be with them within a certain time frame. Not leaving them wondering when your gonna come by. It almost seemed like she was purposefully ignoring us.
I still left a...
Read moreDisappointing Experience Due to Poor Service and Concerns of Discrimination
During my recent visit here I encountered several issues that significantly detracted from my dining experience, leading me to question the fairness and professionalism of the service provided.
Upon arrival, the greeting I received was not only unwelcoming but also made me uncomfortable; I was asked if I was there for an Uber pickup, which felt inappropriate and potentially discriminatory. Despite overlooking this and hoping for a pleasant dining experience, the service continued to disappoint.
After being seated—following a longer wait than seemed necessary—I experienced a significant delay before my order was taken. This was especially frustrating as I observed other customers, who arrived after me, being served promptly. The lack of attention persisted to the point where I had to leave without having my order taken, feeling overlooked and undervalued.
It's disheartening to report such an experience, as I believe everyone deserves to be treated with respect and equity, regardless of their background. I had hoped for a welcoming environment where service standards are applied consistently to all guests.
I am sharing this feedback not only as a reflection of my disappointing visit but also in the hope that the management will take it as an opportunity to review and improve their customer service practices, ensuring a welcoming and unbiased environment for all patrons.
Edit:- the response from the owner is extremely disappointing, because of the lies. When I mentioned that I would put in a Google review the waiter said "do...
Read moreWe came to Stacked while visiting friends for the holidays (at the new location at Dorchester & McLeod) and had a great brunch!! We arrived just past noon and despite the restaurant being fairly busy already, they were able to arrange an area for all 12 of us to sit together in just a few minutes. Our server Natasha was so friendly and helpful and especially patient given how large our party was … many of us also had trouble deciding what to order as there are so many tempting options on their menu for both breakfast and lunch (burgers, sandwiches, etc.). She started with our drinks which came right away and our food came shortly after we subsequently ordered our meals. The portions are substantial and between the breakfast orders (pancake stack, jumbo express, eggs Benedict w/ spinach & mushroom, Philly cheesesteak eggs Benedict, Mexican omelet, eggs Benedict with ham, eggs Benedict with bacon, farmers breakfast, Reuben sandwich, chicken fingers) all of us found our meals to be very delicious! Lemonades and coffees (refilled a few times) were good too. One thing that also stood out was that the homefries were absolutely fantastic - at most breakfast restaurants the home fries are overdone/hard, tasteless or over seasoned and simply a plate filler but at Stacked they were so good they were battling with the mains to be the star of the meal! Natasha was a huge part of our happy experience, smiling and outgoing and brimming with positive energy - checking in on us throughout and chatting with us here and there. Afterward she had our leftovers packed up and seamlessly on our way. I wanted to go back...
