YOU HAVE TO COME HERE IF YOU VISIT VANCOUVER. Im a hunter of value when it comes to food, and this place is it. Not only is it a very reasonable price with generous proportions, the food is delicious! About 16 bucks for 2 meats/2 sides, and ~12 for 1 meat 2 sides, depending on which meat(s) you pick. A buck less if you dont go for the better meat options. I had the roastbeef (they give about 3 or 4 good sized pieces, and Terriyaki meatballs (2 large), mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. Magnificient; but I was also hungry. Definitely come here if youre visiting Vancouver, there's the shipyards on one side, and the park on the other, so it is worth the trip for sure. Some suggestions for the owners. The food is great, but hard to get repeat customers since the only sauce available is the gravy, which is great. But if you want repeat local customers, I think you would need to develop at least 3 more sauces, to keep people coming back, by trying the new sauces, and being able to create new combinations with the sides/meats. Having just one more additional sauce would only allow repeat customers to have twice the amount of different combinations in the meat/sides/sauces to mix and match, and 3 would triple it. Some R&D that I think can be done would be to develop your take on Japanese curry, but with a spicy twist for one sauce. Japanese curry is quite sweet, and does not emit an "Indian" smell. The taste is also not overpowering, with consistency the same as your gravy. And another sauce can be sweet like a jam, but not too sweet nor viscous; something like a cross between a mixed red berry jam, and apple pie filling. Also, similar to what some of the other poor reviews are saying, you need to find a way to keep the food more hot. It's hard to do that without drying out the food on a slow day, but it needs to happen, no one likes cold food. Food for thought.

Sharky’s been an institution at Lonsdale Quay for as long as I can remember. They’ve always offered quality food that still feels homemade and not overly fancy. I’ll always try to drop by here for lunch or an early dinner when in the neighborhood. When it’s busy in the Quay, expect it to be busy at Sharky’s. It’s one of those places that when you see a line up, you know the food is good. So the weekends always has people lined up to order or just to scope out what everyone is lining up for. The have a good selection of sides and proteins to choose from and will usually offer fixings for the dishes. The pierogis can come with sour cream and I’ll add some chipotle mayo on the side or on top. The steamed veggies are just on the soft side of al dente so that’s a plus and the mash potatoes are always good. I will usually grab a salt and pepper packets to season but that’s me. The protein selection. I really like ordered their beef offerings, either the brisket which is pictured this time or the roast beef. It’s just easier to order a slow booked beef than making it at home sometimes and this place is one place I’ll order that from. The gravy is flavorful but not overpowering so its compliments the meat over covering the taste. Enjoy!

Used to always go haven't been in awhile. Prices have gone thru roof and the amount is extremely small compared to old times . Used to get 2 meals and would have leftovers for a day between me and wife . Now ordered 2 large meals which are $8 more then before and finished and was like I am not full. Spent as much as going to a decent restaurant and super disappointed will not be driving from port moody there anymore . Goodbye sharkys .pictures of what I got for $60 take out. 2 large meals which cause I got teriyaki chicken extra $2 and $7.73 worth of mashed potatoes at 0.83 lbs so about 0.55 cost. Update meatballs completely raw . Complete waste of money

I have been a client of Sharkys’ for over ten years. I had always enjoyed the food, great value and great staff.

The last few times I’ve gone I’ve noticed a little of change. The food is not as good anymore. I’m suspect the restaurant is under new ownership or management.

We went over the Easter weekend for lunch approximately 1:25 p.m.

There was no one else in line. We were looking at the lunch board and pricing trying to figure out how it worked, one meat one side, versus two meats two sides, or the turkey special they had. As we were ordering, asking a few questions etc. the server there was incredibly abrupt, told us repeatedly to read the sign, do the math, it’s all in the board. We were really taken aback. Then he tells us several times in a really aggressive tone, I’m giving you a deal, unless you want to pay extra. There was o e person waiting in line behind us by that point, it was extremely embarrassing and looked really bad for Sharkys’.

We were in a bit of shock, so we payed for our food and walked away to collect our thoughts.

I am a business owner, and my partner is a computer scientist, so we are well aware of what good customer service is.

I went back to speak to the server, and asked him if I could get a business card with the owners contact information.

Again he was a riot and defensive. He a said they ran out of business cards, and asked if there was a problem.

To avoid a confrontation, I said no I just wanted to dial to the owner. I asked for his name which he said it was Lloyd.

I walked away, and went out to the outside seating.

Lloyd comes out to our table and asks if e thing was all right, again reiterating that he was giving us a deal.

We told him it was not about the money, it was about his service. I told him I would follow up with the owner. He didn’t seem to care in the least. It was almost as if he was the owner.

I tried getting the owners number from Lonsdale Quay administration today, but they said they couldn’t do that, but gave me the shop number.

I told her that didn’t help, if I called there I likely would get Lloyd answering the phone.

I called, asked to whom I was speaking, it was Lloyd.

I thanked him and hung up.

I’ll...

Four stars due to mixed service. Came here for the first time on canada day and loved it. The young man working that day, along with the other staff, were so friendly and polite, and the food is great. The meat is soft and tender, and this is one of the few places I know of where the mashed potatoe side tastes fresh and not flakes/ like boxed ones! As someone with no oven to roast meat and a nearly insatiable love for mashed potatoes with not enough time or energy to make them often, this place is everything I dreamed! The vegetables however do have an extremely overpowering lemon flavor, so bear that in mind if you order them! The portion sizes + prices are also incredible!

Came back today to try the beef (last time I had chicken!) And again, food is great, (veggies are still very lemony), but the man working today was very curt and a bit rude. Cut me off while I was talking /giving him my order, one word at a time when asking me for my order (which he had already cut me off from giving), and then scoffed when I wasn't standing right in front of the payment pad which was hidden by a plant. Considering this was not near close and it was absolutely not busy, the contrast between his service and the service i recieved last time was very jarring. Overall, great food, and from my last experience I assume many friendly and great employees! Maybe this man was having a bad day, but Like any place, I assume it just depends on...
