Harvey's — Restaurant in Oakville

My wife went inside the store to order kids meal and the guy was cooking and preparing the chicken sandwich without gloves (while we are facing Covid-19 virus) she asked him to put the gloves on but he told her that he can’t because the plastic glove will melt because of the grill is so hot !! He finished the sandwich and tried to give it to her but she refused to take it and asked him to prepare another one while putting a gloves. He said ok , and then he prepared a new bread on the grill but he didn’t grill a new chicken at all in-front of her while she was the only customer at this time (which is weird) then he went inside the kitchen where the first sandwich was ( it seems he just put the already cooked chicken without gloves in the new bread) and then he gave the sandwich to her. From the reviews, I must have hit this place at a bad time. Nobody at the Harvey's counter. A bunch in the back looked and ignored me. Five minutes later I ask for help. An angry looking tatted girl (I think) saunters up and snaps off, "What do you need?" As I'm saying the order she's giving me impatient "Yeahs" after each thing. Starts getting stuff out, no washing, no gloves, tosses it carelessly on the grill. The burger is pre-cooked, a minute later it's off. She then figures she should put one glove on her right hand. Finishes dressing the burger, glaring at me like I asked her to do my taxes. "That it?" snarls tat girl. I'm not sure why I didn't get a refund and leave. The bag was leaking grease, fries were Old and burnt. Chucked it all in the garbage. Worst Harvey's experience and food I've ever had anywhere. How they get positive reviews...

Update: In full transparency, this was previously a nasty review. However, after receiving wonderful customer service, I wanted to revise my comments to reflect the entire experience. Not only did I receive email updates about my previous review being dealt with at the corporate level, but I spoke with the owner at this location who was truly apologetic and passionate about customer service. I have to say, my review was heard and Harvey’s/Swiss Chalet really care what their customers think. If you go to this location, know that they are working to improve wait times in spite of juggling one drive thru for two restaurants, and they take sanitation seriously so I’m confident ALL employees away from the grill will be wearing gloves.
