Hi Yogurt & Yo Poké （Oakville） — Restaurant in Oakville

I am disappointed in the lack of cleanliness and atmosphere in this facility. My friends and I had to ask for the table to be cleaned so we could sit down. When I asked for a cup of water since I found the food to be spicy, the worker behind the counter took a plastic cup (usually for the yogurt), dropped it in the sink, used it ANYWAY, filled up the cup using a tap that had such a strong jet it was clearly for cleaning where the water was very WARM and served it to me where the outside of the cup was covered in water. I took one sip, it was too warm where my tongue needed cold water. I asked for cold water instead, he used the other version of that tap and the water was still warmer than lukewarm. Honestly, I should have refused such a half-assed effort, that’s totally on me for even trying.

When I needed to use the washroom, the bathroom had a sign saying it was being repaired. I asked to use the employee washroom, alas such a thing does not exist. I asked the other worker how she went to the bathroom here. She told me she never did. She suggested to use the washroom in the sushi place next door. I did not want to pay another time just to use the washroom. Perhaps I never needed to, but I still find such service and accessibility upsetting. I do not understand how there is no other washroom available, but it is a small shop. What if a customer is having an emergency? I am disappointed in this circumstance.

I don’t get the good reviews. They’re new and probably why..Moved to Oakville, wanted to try a poke place in the area. Honestly, so disappointed. Got the spicy salmon poke bowl and it probably came with VERY little quantity of torched salmon. Literally a few pieces, had to pay for extra salmon. They gave a VERY few extra pieces for free for my husband’s bowl. However, the lady helping us (with a cap) was also not the warmest. In fact, not welcoming at all and rude. When we asked for the extra salmon and my husband offered to pay, she said we could pay before leaving. Maybe she forgot her words or something, literally interrupted our dinner 5 mins later and went “hey pay for the torched salmon” across from behind the counter while we were still at the table trying to enjoy our meal. Just an overall unpleasant experience. Wanted to try the lava buns and yogurt drink after but we were just so put off by the whole experience. Gotta keep looking for the best poke place in Oakville because this was NOT IT. Flavour was very meh too. I did not finish my dinner. Cafe looks cute though!...

Extremely disappointed by both service and food at this place. Wanted to try it based on such amazing reviews but was shocked at our experience. We ordered the Torched Salmon poke bowl, they literally put 1 tablespoon of salmon! Went to the counter and shared our feedback and the lady scoffed at me with “Well you cannot compare with photos”. Offered 1 tablespoon for free for 2 bowls. I took it and paid another $7 for another portion for my wife. Lady at counter then says “Dont worry you can pay later” so I went back to my table and started eating. Then 2 mins later she calls me in the middle of my meal to come pay. Are you kidding me? Thats just rude! Either let me finish my food or just make me pay before I go to my table. You dont make a customer get up to pay with food in their mouth. They really need to learn service. Food taste was decent. Had better. Rather than giving 20% discounts for grand opening rather give your customers 20% more Salmon. Cause any customer would happily pay 20% more for a...
