Bad customer service/bad attitude is what everybody complains about this place (read other's reviews.)

I would like to specifically state that at no time whatsoever did the owner even bother to try and talk to me about what was going on. Even after when his employee went to him about a customer wanting a refund. He appeared to be "just sitting there online." Any comment/response by the owner on Google asking me in public now to communicate with him should be taken as superficial damage control. I guess he must have been too busy with ZERO customers and was just waiting to go home?

Potential Covid-19 hotspot. Great place for anti-maskers. Ignore all the warning signs on the door as they don't follow the rules. Owner refuses to wear mask. Employees take off mask to talk to owner and there is NO SANITATION between taking orders, handling cash, serving food mask not covering nose IF WORN AT ALL. Touch cash, then your face then touch my food? NO THANK YOU. Owner places personal food right beside customer food (remember that owner doesn't wear mask.) Workers TAKE OFF mask literally in front of RAW VEGETABLES that will NOT GET COOKED thus whatever germs are on the lettuce, tomatoes etc. will get inside your food. After taking mask off 30 cm near raw food, they go straight outside to smoke CIGARETTES ON THE PATIO. touch money touch face touch food smoke on patio (illegal) go back inside touch face - put on mask (only if customer is near) repeat step 1. NO SANITATION in between steps.

I ordered 2 dinners and noticed that the owner did not have a mask (he sits right next to food prep area.) When I told the employee that what I saw was unhygienic/anti-covid and I did not like it, the employee started giving excuses why it's okay to not wear a mask. I told them I didn't want to argue and told them that after today I will no longer be patronizing their establishment due to the no mask needed policy. I told them that customer service was very important to me and I prefer not to argue about Covid (not with an anti-masker.) The worker then started to argue even more about why it's okay for their restaurant not to obey public health laws. I asked for my money back. The employee then went to the owner and took off her mask. sigh I eventually got my refund from a different guy that was wearing his mask like a chin diaper when I first entered the store. The icing on the cake was all the back-talk I got while leaving from the employee that was smoking on the patio 2 feet away from the door. It is against the law to smoke in food consumption areas like patios. There is another Shawarma restaurant literally a stone's throw away right across the street and there are maybe half a dozen other Shawarma restaurants just 15 min away from this place. Go to this place if you want your shawarma potentially laced with covid/salmonella etc. and with a nice smokey tobacco flavour.

This was my second attempt to eat here but I never got what I wanted. The first time I left the place was because I came in 30 min before close and but the guy was just literally waiting to leave. I wanted to order 2 beef kofta dinners but the employee had already cleaned everything up and didn't want to clean the grill again. He only wanted to serve me old chicken shawarma from the warm water bath. I came in for some freshly grilled meat. I did not get freshly grilled meat.

Coming to this place for a second time thinking that their attitude has changed was a mistake. I will not be returning to give them a 3rd strike.

Not sure if the other Lazeez locations in Oakville are run by the same owner but if they are, you can bet that the owner will run the other places exactly the same way. Oakville now has more shawarma shops than Tim Horton's. GO TO ANOTHER...

The service I experienced here tonight was terrible. I came here on June 9th around 10pm. The young girl at the front who took my dad and I order was miserable and did not provide good service. I usually don’t go out of my way to write bad reviews but I was really unhappy with how this young lady treated me. I order 2 chicken on the rocks. I hardly order shawarma but I do enjoy it so I was a bit confused with there menu options and the girl was not being specific at all she was just pure rude and seemed to just want to take my order real fast. She asked do you want the regular sauces and I had no idea what the regular sauces were and ask her what they are. She just looked at my like I was stupid.. Secondly when she was making our rice and chicken she made them super fast. I asked politely if I could have just a few pickles on the side and she said it was going to cost extra when not once did she specify that extra things we want in our rice bowls like lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles etc would cost extra. So I paid the extra charge because I forgot to order drinks with my food although when she was cashing me out for that “extra charge” she was looking on the register and asked her other coworker in there language how to charge me for that so all in all I feel like she lied and just charged me that to be rude. Then she didn’t even get our drinks for us or the pickles when it would’ve taken 5 seconds she just started working on a new order and didn’t even help us and this other guy had too. I think the owner of this place should seriously have a talk to this young lady who was working on June 9th at 10pm and really reconsider who he has as an employee and representing this company. FOUND GLASS IN FOOD! Beef on the rocks ( rice) to go and it was the worst experience I have had eating at Lazeez shawarma.

Later on, when I finally got to sit down and eat, I shared the food with my partner and he finds a foreign object in his bite, and when he spits it out, we see that its GLASS! Just a little side thought( When glass shatters there is usually smaller pieces then the one we got in our meal, that can still do a lot of damage, if ingested. )

I went the next day to show them the glass and let them know about the situation, and after an employee calls their supervisor, he tells me" after 45 minutes- They are not responsible for anything. "

The least the supervisor could of done was investigate the situation - themselves- by getting more information about what I ordered and when; TO MAKE SURE NO ONE ELSE POTENITALLY ATE GLASS ! Instead, he became super defensive and tried to relinquish any sort of responsibility.

I am not a person to write reviews and my first response was to bring this to the store rectify the situation. After speaking to the management and realizing he did not consider this serious or important I saw no other way of solving this problem to ensure safety of other customers. I have really enjoyed OTHER LOCATIONS in the past but this location NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT.
