“If you’re in a hurry, you shouldn’t come on a weekend” is not a statement that I should get from a breakfast FAMILY location. Also, a manager should be trying to understand and embrace rather than becoming defensive. After an hour and 15 mins on the clock of not getting our food for 3 of us, you bet, I had to leave. It took close to the first half hour (maybe I’ll be exact and say 20 some mins) to even get coffee. I get how busy the restaurant was so I wanted. But after that long to wait for food and observing a table leaving for the same reason and the groups that were with us, including a group of 5, be done their entire breakfast and on the verge to leave, yeah. I don’t think that’s something I should tolerate should. I also pointed to the manager who was still very defensive so I had no choice but to own things I shouldn’t, that my family and I no matter what the number is, are always shoved to the back. We were 3 and were placed on the very far back booth of 6 just because we said IF there is a booth, we can take that. Manager’s response? You shouldn’t ask for a booth at all then if you don’t want to be there. I’m sorry? When there are 3 of us, I expect to be in that mid dining area on logical sized booths or simply be told sorry, we don’t have one, there is a table. Now THAT is completely fine. I was telling the manager about the same area my family and are always placed in, way to the back, and that was like “we’re not doing it intentionally”, when did I imply that? I don’t know. This happened LITERALLY for the past 6/7 visits and I’ve been going for over 20 years so I even took ownership and said you know what? I’ll be more proactive and ask to wait rather than sit there, the manager was dismissive of that even and said you know we have charts and server assignments that they’re trying to balance; and I’m going to be honest: something is not adding up here- something is not well with charting bc this is NOT the first time. So yeah , since I only go on weekends, I’m not sure what the solution would be. It should be your staffing responsibility not me avoiding you so I get to eat breakfast. Terrible response and truly frustrating experience, please consider revisiting because it has become quite a...
Read moreThey have all specialty breakfasts. Example blueberry muffin, sausage, and eggs with fruit. They don't have any classic breakfasts. Example BLT, BLT with eggs, or just a simple 3 course bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns. Plus they won't sell you one sandwich. You have to order combinations, no exceptions.
Additionally their coffee resembles sales of hot water so they can make a profit, and the cup sizes prove evidence of nothing more than business. Moreover, they use a huge toast bread for an egg sandwich with 3 skinny pieces of bacon with no salt at all.
Politically correct health services don't make great authentic restaurants. It's because they know the demographic these days only goes to entertain themselves a bit. They do have salt and pepper on the tables, but that doesn't fix the overrated issue.
The regulars at Cora go because they have gratitude, therefore they are content people who would not ever complain. Places are not in business to dine, care, entertain, impress, compete, feed, or retain the customer who is looking for something legitimate.
The prices would fit this place well if the service and food had just as much value as the atmosphere. Servers are polite and obviously earn good tips. Makes you wonder about the mind...
Read moreMost of the time are the little things that makes the difference. I haven't been to Cora's in a long time: pandemic, family life and so on. This morning, my husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a nice Sunday breakfast. We were greeted right away by the hostess and taken to our table that was clean and ready for us. In a matter of seconds, Emily, our server was there with 2 glasses of water, menus, silverware and a big smile to take our drinks order. The menus at Cora's are full of original item, all of them amazing. I decided on the crepes "The Boss Favourite". While we were navigated the menus Emily was back the coffees and and small plate with something covered by napkins. I was super happy to see that there was my favourite: marmalade. All the other breakfast places I have ask for it. The coffee is ths hottest I've ever drank just how I like it. The crepes was delicious. We had a very nice breakfast, definitely no need for lunch after breakfast at Cora's. Emily came back to refill our cup with hot, stream coffee with need to be asked and always wearing the best smile. Thank you for a great breakfast and not expensive considering the quality and quantity of food and...
