I usually don’t like to leave bad reviews however I had such an unpleasant experience today that I feel it should be shared. Took about 10 minutes before our waitress greeted us, and she didn’t introduce herself or anything, just asked if we were ready to order. She seemed quite confused with us requesting the regular sized portions as opposed to the lunch sized portions, and ended up giving my friend the lunch sized portion (but charging her for full sized) even after specifying multiple times. Our soup came out about 2 minutes before our main dishes, and the soup was lukewarm at best. When the pasta dishes arrived (which came to our table cold I should add), we had no space to put our plates/bowls. We explained we were done with our soups and the menus (in hopes of clearing up some space on the table), however the waitress left everything anyways and resulted in a full glass of soda being spilled all over our table and legs. It took about 5 minutes to flag our waitress down and explain a drink had spilled and politely asked for something to dry it up. We were given 3 napkins before she ran off again without taking the used dishes again or offering a refill on the spilled drink. On top of the pasta being cold, the broccoli that was added was completely charred black on top from being so burnt. It turned the Alfredo sauce a gross brownish colour. There was also no baked cheese, however it was on the receipt, which she brought to us without asking if we were ready for our bill, or specifying if we would like a single or separate bill (we were going to get separate bills however since she brought the combined bill without asking, my friend unfortunately had to pay the full bill on her own while I was using the washroom) and because of this I was unable to mention being charged for baked cheese without receiving it. We asked for 2 takeout containers and when she only brought one, my friend mentioned it again however after that we had already paid and were waiting so long for the second one we decided to just leave (without my friend being able to take home her leftovers). We left both very dissatisfied with our experience and honestly are unsure at this point if we even want to give it a second shot in fear of another dining...

The Management does not dare about how its Customers are treated (i.e., very badly.) I am a retired Professional who has always up until now was content with the food and the service at East Side Marios. I will not ever order from them again. I was unable to "chat" with any one on line even though they claim to offer this service.
I ordered a Chicken Club Wrap and a salad for take-out. on Fri. July 6 in the late afternoon. I walked into the Take Out on Gardiners Rd. in Kingston because calling (i.e., phoning in is most cumbersome.)
The salad was fine but the Club Wrap was not;. When I went to eat the Chicken Club Wrap the Romaine lettuce was not just dark green but rotten. I took it out of the wrap, and placed it in the fridge (wrapped in plastic.)
When I returned to East Side Marios on Sunday with the bill I re-quested to see the Manager. The gentleman sitting there told me he was the Manager.
I took out my brown bag which contained the rotten Romaine lettuce and told him that I was very upset with the lack of quality of the romaine. He told me that I should have called the restaurant immediately when I realized it was "bad." I told him it was very awkward to get through on the phone and he just dismissed this comment.
He then informed me that there was "nothing he could do about it" and then told me "to have a nice day!"
Valued customers should be believed and not treated in such a shabby, careless, offensive manner.

Read moreThe entire experience was bad from the minute we arrived. We asked to be seated at a certain table and were told it was for a party of 5-6, we were a party of 4. We were kept waiting while they cleared a table, when there was another table ready. We sat down and everything was wet and sticky. We asked about the sticky table and were told that it was the type of sanitizer they used. The stickiness never went away. They then seated a party of 4 at table we asked for, that we were told was for a party of 5-6. 20 mins in we still weren’t visited by a waitress. There was no cutlery, napkins or plates on the table. Finally, we hailed a waitress and she seemed inconvenienced. Ordered and an appetizer was delivered, still no tableware, we had to ask for it. The table was not cleared as plates emptied and then the meal was brought out and we had to ask them to take the dirty appetizer dishes. They took the dishes and dirty napkins and then didn’t ask if we needed more napkins. Our waitress was very absentee and when she finally came over we asked to speak to the manager, she snapped and said is there a problem? The manager then came over after about 5 mins later and we shared our concerns. He mumbled and yammered on about this is not how he likes to see things done and that he’d had a meeting with the staff a few dats ago about these things specifically and that he is very disappointed to have to hear that things weren’t different. He walked away with no effort to get us the things we needed, ie. napkins. He did apply a 20% discount to our bill, but told us that it had eaten into their entire profit margin.
