Confederation Park is okay. It should be alot better. One area that is always dreadful is where they place the dumpsters (not so much the garbage cans--- which should be emptied out more often). The city finally built a surround/fence to cover the dumpster area and make this look alittle better. This is a good idea but the gates are usually left open and no one cleans up the garbage that gets left over or thrown in there and left on the ground. The people who have boats anchored there during late spring to fall throw their garbage in there and clearly these boat/yacht owners do not care how over loaded the garbage cans/dumpsters in the area are. These boaters should be informed the harbor should be kept clean and everyone needs to help achieve this. The other area that needs attention is the fountain area. It is a mess! It needs painting it needs fixing up and it needs cleaning up! It should not take years of conversation from city officials who do not seem to care how this looks. The fountain needs lots of love and care. The fountain area does not need the city to talk, the fountain needs the city to "DO". Actions speak louder than words! The city should provide some action not more conversation. Also the public washroom underneath the Information Building. I understand these public washrooms were renovated about 5 to 7 years ago. I do not know was in charge of that project but these washrooms are disappointing! They do not have proper vents to air out these washrooms. These washrooms are a disgrace. They are not clean, they smell awful and they are usually a mess with over loaded garbage cans!! Bring in people that can renovate these washrooms properly. Use a true designer with vision not those that call themselves "Designers". You do not need to go to a store front who decorate (everyone in this city thinks the only designers are from a store. There are other designers who do not work for a retail location that won't get looked at who could have done a...

The Confederation park is a very nice park along Lake Ontario in Kingston to go for a walk, have a picnic or just sit relax and enjoy looking out at the lake. In this park there is also few other attractions such as a historical train and a very nice historical fountain that has a arch as well and lights up at night. I would definitely spend more time exploring and walking around this park and the lake front if the am back in...
