It was after 7pm and I could only see 2 employees. There were 3 customers already waiting. I felt bad for the employees because they looked run off their feet. Lots going on behind the counter but nobody getting their food. When I was ordering, I noticed on the menu they had a 2 for $3 promo on pies. So I ordered 2 apple pies. While I was waiting (over 10 minutes) I realized that I didn't get the promo price. I mentioned it to the cashier who took my order. I said it isn't a huge problem but there is a problem with the price and I didn't get the promo price. She said "where you see?". I told her its on the menu monitor. She starts to look at the menu.m then looks at her register keyboard. Out of nowhere, another employee shows up and they have their backs to me, whispering. One of the ladies looks at the till and says "you ordered 2 pies." I replied yes. The other cashier rudely says, "you didn't say you wanted the promo" I was taken aback by that comment. I said I ordered 2 pies, why should I mention the promo. She told me "next time you have to say you want the 2 for $3". I was dumbfounded to be spoken to like that. Especially since I was polite and I hadn't raised my voice. A gentleman behind me said "I doubt there will be a next time." They stared at the register like they didn't know how to refund me so I said to just throw in a biscuit. They were whispering to eachother again. My stuff was handes to me. I was in there for 17 minutes. The fries were cold. I have had a problem before at this location. I think i will drive to the Whitby location...
Read moreVery nice staff, great hours because open very late and decently quick food. Nothing Is ever made like most locations so you have to wait for everything you order. The employees do try to be friendly but nobody really speaks proper English at all. Every worker is Indian like all fast food stores everywhere now so i guess be aware that your food might not be what you asked for due to a severe language barrier and make sure you double check everything like when you order at McDonalds. The atmosphere is Cajun fried chicken but doesn’t really feel like it because they play Bollywood videos on their tvs usually and the tables and floors are pretty sticky usually + more but it’s obvious the building doesn’t get maintained properly . Overall, it’s not terrible but my advice would be to stick to the theme of your restaurant, clean very much and often, hire a diverse team of employees and have some commonly purchased food ready to hand out because nobody buys that “I’m making it fresh” line . Not all negative because the employees here are very nice and the food is good but a...
Read moreJust a heads-up about a really frustrating experience I had with Uber Eats and Popeyes. I placed an order, and shortly after, I got a call from an employee named Hosanna, who was working Thursday night. She informed me that the store was out of nearly half the items I ordered and recommended I cancel the order through the app. Since I rarely use Uber Eats, I trusted her advice and canceled it.
But here’s the problem—Uber only gave me a partial refund because Hosanna later claimed she never told me to cancel. As a result, I lost $20. I’m incredibly disappointed by how this was handled. Not only did I receive poor service, but I also feel like I was misled and my money was essentially stolen. Please be cautious if you’re ordering from this Popeyes location, especially if Hosanna is involved. This experience has definitely made me question how much these businesses value...
