Got take out from this location tonight.

My main issue is price versus quality compared to my normal sushi places in the lower mainland.

Got my usual order, minus one roll. Usual order is beef rollx1, avocado rollx1, California rollx3, dynamite roll x1. Tonight I got California roll x 2. Beef roll, avo roll and dynamite roll.

The price at my normal restaurant is ~$26 for the 6 rolls I normally get. The price at Edo was $36 dollars for 5 rolls. The rolls are also much smaller. The sticker on the rolls said "made fresh daily" so in other words, they weren't made when I ordered them, rather earlier in the day. The avocado was somewhat brown when I got it home. The serving sizes of wasabi, ginger and soya sauce is also less than one of my usual family owned local places. Basically you get much much less for about 30% more cost. Never eating sushi...

Great place for 'Fast Food Sushi'. I mean that in a positive way. Edo is a fast food sushi restaurant and they deliver. You're not going to get a multitude of options on the menu but the menu has plenty enough options; the quality is pretty good (on the coast, Edo is typically the 'Mall Sushi restaurant' and expectations were never high. This location is very efficient; I've never had to wait more than 7 mins TOPS for my order and everything is hot/fresh. Service is friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable. I can eat at Edo for the same price as the fast food burger drive-thru but feel like I chose the healthier option and honestly, maybe even the faster option. The only thing that was of decent taste or quality was the stir fry's [beef, chicken and shrimp] in the bento boxes and the 3 wontons in the bowl.

Tempura was horrible...chewy/gummy batter, tasteless, just not good. [And yes in takeout tempura may not travel.well...but this was beyond that. Even the potato was tasteless]

Noodles were rubbery, chewy and inedible Missing any broccoli in the soup even after paying for extra.

Weird taste in the rolls... could never identify it. Rolls tasted like the rice was old...chewy with a crunch in it. But, like i said, the bento boxes with the stir fry did the job.

Would i go back?
