We were very disappointed with our recent stay at Kettle Valley Beach Resort. We paid over $400 per night for a 1-bedroom suite, expecting a clean and comfortable experience for our family, myself, my husband, and our 2-year-old child. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Upon checking in, it was immediately clear the room had not been thoroughly cleaned. We found rolling papers on the ground, smushed chocolate on the floor, candies under the couch, sand packed into the couch crevices, along with crumbs and hair everywhere. Our socks were filthy just from walking around as we unpacked. We alerted the staff right away, and someone was sent to clean the floors. However, even after this visit, the floors were still dirty. The resort did come by to apologize and offered a $25 bottle of wine. not particularly thoughtful, given that I’m six months pregnant. They also chose to shift the blame to the previous guests, stating they had left the suite in poor condition. While that may be true, it is the resort’s responsibility to ensure the room is properly cleaned before new guests arrive. They did offer to come and clean the suite again, but by then, it was a full day into our stay, and the experience had already left a bad impression. Overall, we felt the suite was significantly overpriced for what we received, and the gesture of compensation did not match the inconvenience. Sadly, we cannot recommend this resort to others. There are better options just a few doors down, at half the price and, in our experience, a much higher standard of service.

We stayed in the standard two queen. Although our room could've been a little larger, it was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. No microwave. The tub had really tall sides, no grab bars, and was very slippery. I wouldn't bring my elderly mother here. The deadbolt didn't work. Once we told them they fixed it right away :). Overall, we were very pleased with our choice and had a great time! The beach is right across the street and there are several choices for outdoor activities, and several places on the waterfront to find food and drinks. I would recommend Salty's and Cambo's. Lickety Splitz for ice cream. The Sociale for a morning latte or afternoon beverage. There are lots of water activities for kids and an adventure park as well. I would recommend making time to visit Kangaroo Creek Farm on the outskirts of Kelowna. This was our first trip to Penticton so we had a lot of questions. Kendra and Shelly were very helpful and accommodating. Thanks for everything we will be back!

Cute and cozy beach resort tastefully decorated surf/beach theme. Very clean, well maintained building and landscaping is tied to the theme. It is Located across the beach and PET FRIENDLY!!! Service was over the top especially Kendra who works reception - answered texts promptly and Jonathan; they are truly nice people. An added bonus was the restaurant Sociale that is attached to the resort; it was the only place to grab coffee early in the morning on the strip and head to the beach to view the beautiful lake. Conveniently, there are bike and paddle board rentals on site at the front entrance. Don’t forget to lounge in the back area as there are BBQ’s. fire pits and pergolas. I loved this place so much that I didn’t want to leave; it felt like home!!

Good: Newly renovated ‘Crown Motel’ across from Okanagon Lake Beach. Perfect location with a variety of room types and (higher end) prices.

The best beach area in Penticton and the river float access is only a few steps away; lots of restaurants and activities within walking distance and the river/bike walk along the area is outstanding and safe.

No longer a swimming pool but great seating areas with a gas fire pit, sunshades chair areas, 2 new bbqs and picnic tables. Lots of separate room for families or groups.

Wonderful to be provided with unlimited ice. Buildings A&C won’t see the machine but it’s around the corner towards the back units. Unfortunately greedy people take bags of ice for their coolers when they leave so I’m guessing the ‘free’ access won’t continue.

Rooms are clean and bed and pillows are comfortable. A small jar of coffee and a limited amount of filters are provided with powdered cream.

Free strong wifi.

Bad: Parking, although free, is a bit like mayhem as there is no assigned spots (see many previous reviews). Back parking is very tight and hard to navigate.

Although we have come to this motel for years and have always enjoyed our time here, we feel a little ripped off this time. We booked early in May and what we thought was our usual room type but when arrived to find the worst room (without elevated patio and with a car parked on our doorstep). You can’t talk to anyone in person as the office is locked and no one is on-site. However, we texted the owner/managers and received an immediate response - which was appreciated. We told them about our situation and unhappiness of room selection and we were kindly offered an upgrade as thankfully there was a 1-bedroom with cooking facilities available in the back section.

Now the rub: we have travelled extensively and have often upgraded our rooms. This time, we weren’t offered the difference in the room types across the board at todays rate but had to pay an additional $530 plus tax for 3 nights to upgrade from an old (lower) rate to a new (higher) rate room. It’s a simple calculation that every hotel does. Price to upgrade based on current room types rates!!” The difference between the room types should have been $360. After back and forth, the owner agreed to take 10% off our next visit in 2024 if we book by September. However, I think we are left with bad feelings and perhaps it’s time to move on. This is unfortunate as we have stayed in the same spot for over 20 years. “

Rooms cleaned every 7 days. Not really an issue for us but others like more attention. Lots of towels tho.

Rooms have 2 chairs outside their doors plus a wood stump as a table. Unfortunately, ants like wood. A strange choice but part of the ‘beach’ theme I guess.

Tips: Not a lot of extras is provided so bring the following with you: a sharp knife or two for chopping or cutting plus salad tongs & a cutting board. Cutlery provided but nothing to prepare dinners. Dish soap Shampoo/Conditioner Bath Soap Take a picture of your door code. It’s 6 digits and if you forget it and don’t have your phone you are hooped. Really 4 digits are more appropriate so you can remember the code. Rooms to avoid: A1, A4, A5, C1, C4, C5. Also, if you don’t want people walking above you in the suites then avoids B1 - B5. Make sure to contact motel staff before booking. Make sure to grab a couple chairs and a table as large groups take over everything on site including the picnic tables. Nice to see the groups but not much sharing happening. TV. If it doesn’t work it’s because the box is unplugged as it’s the only way to...

It had been a solid 5 years since we went on holiday, so we did not know what to expect. We booked a single room, you know - bed, desk, bathroom. They upgraded us to a full suite! No reason given, but I must say, it absolutely blew us away! The view was beautiful, overlooking Okanagan Lake.

Our suite was comfortable, spacious, very clean, and private. The neighbors were not loud or rowdy by any means. You get cleaning service IF you ask for it (thank you! I HATE the stress of leaving my possessions within strangers reach).

The kitchen came with a full set of dishes, glasses, mugs, pots, pans, utensils, and a dish cloth. There was a nice sized fridge, stove/oven, coffee maker, toaster, and electric kettle. Dining table with 4 comfortable chairs. Bedroom was a nice sized queen bed, a shelf with extra towels, and a place to hang your clothing (including hangers). The AC in the room is very convenient, as is the ability to actually open both the bedroom and bathroom windows. Bathroom was clean, modern fixtures, heater in there as well. Heating was easily turned up or down. Curtains are heavy but not dark.

TV is built into the wall, it's rather fancy looking. We had access to cable, Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, and more. Just remember to log out of your accounts XD

There are restaurants and shops nearby, so we did not have to hunt for anything we needed. Beachfront access was as simple as walking across the street.

It is pet friendly, we saw many dogs, all very well behaved. No pet mess was seen on the property, which was even better. Outside there are places to sit, picnic tables, and even a large BBQ. I imagine warmer nights would be perfect for eating outside, grilling with your friends, enjoying the beach view with a nice steak sounds amazing!

Now the absolute best part, was check in and check out. You don't need to be face to face with anyone. I did everything via text. Checked in, got my room number and door code (no keys! Just a code for the door, easy peasy!). When checking out, I simply texted the number, and thanked them for our stay. That was it. So simple, streamlined, easy, fast and very convenient.

I appreciate the effort that was put forth for our stay. We are not special or more important than anyone else, so I know that this is how they treat all of their guests. We absolutely loved our stay, and hope to...
