AVOID. TOURIST TRAP. Ordered the croque monsieur, assuming in old Quebec they'd never get a classic wrong, how incorrect we were. It was made with mozzarella instead of Gruyere, a thick, half unmelted indigestable mess. Flimsy, lunch meat ham. Legitimately the WORST, poorest excuse for a croque monsieur of our lives. In Quebec, no less. Horrendous experience! Worse yet, when we expressed that we were quite disappointed, the server shrugged, insisted "everyone likes it" turned her back and walked away mid conversation. 0 attempt to heed feedback or to, even in part, make it right and remove at least one from the bill. The ignorance was astounding. 0 sense of customer service or integrity here. The two of us ate less than 10% of our meal: how in good conscience we would be charged in full is beyond me. $75 for an orange juice and 2 inedible sandwiches, reheated fries, and half rotten salad. This charming street would be infinitely better off with an establishment that truly deserves/merits the location, with staff who take pride in their fare and...
Read moreMy family and I were here for lunch, and we were very pleased to see they had a doggy menu for our pup since we had him with us on all of our travels. Our experience was good and the food was good, but I'm writing this to alert other dog parents about the dog menu (seems silly I know). We ordered chicken for our dog, under the impression that it would be plain chicken and dog safe. When they chicken came out, it appeared to have some type of red or orange seasoning on it, but again, we trusted the restaurant would serve dog safe food off of a dog menu, so we didn't say anything. For the next week after having the chicken, our dog was extremely sick; he is ok now. We believe the chicken had some type of seasoning on it that was not safe for him. Writing this review not to knock the restaurant because we did have a good experience overall, but rather to let other dog owners and the restaurant owners know about this. Powdered seasonings are especially bad for dogs because they are so concentrated. Please...
Read more$24 nacho. 15% service charge was already added to the bill to make it to $31 after tax and tip. According to the server who talked to me, the 15% service charge is the same whether I dine in or take out because she needs to hand over the box from the kitchen..
I worked myself in restaurants and it didn't work that way so I didn't understand and I wanted to cancel the order but she said the order was already in even if the tables were all full and there was a line of people. She said she would get the 15% service charge off so I accepted it. Then the food came out super quickly like in 2 mins.
I brought it to hotel which is 3 min away and had a bite. It was soggy like premade food. Personally the quantity was smaller than many other places. Hope they didn't do it because I didn't give them 15% service charge as people who dined in. Maybe just travel trap or just because the rent is high that the food price...
