Smitty's Golden Mile — Restaurant in Regina

I was here today for a late breakfast. We ordered So Cal Benedict and Grilled lemon garlic chicken with Alfredo fettuccine with seasonal vegetables from the special celebration menu. The eggs were hard as rock in the Benedict. The lemon garlic chicken was a disaster. It was grilled chicken topped with artificial lemon pepper salt which made it citrusy and uneatable and boiled corn was the seasonal vegetable on the side. Our server was nice only until she asked about how food was. I mentioned the same issues politely. She went apologized and went away. A lady, I assume manager came 5mins later with our bill while we still eating and handed us the bill saying she discounted 50% for our inconvenience and went away. After that no one came to either refill for our coffee or water. We sat for 20min to finish our food and little water we had left. We wanted to order dessert since food was disappointing but no one came so we left after that. Rude and disappointing! I won't be back. Attached is the picture of lemon...

We picked Smitty’s because it’s usually a quick, affordable, and reliable option, but unfortunately this visit wasnt all that great. We waited at the front desk for about 5–10 minutes before anyone came to seat us, which should have been the first sign of how things would go. A server seated us in a booth and asked if we wanted coffee - we asked for water instead. After that, she never returned. Despite being the only customers in the restaurant (aside from one guest at the bar), we sat waiting another 15–20 minutes without any follow-up, water, or opportunity to place an order. Another staff member at the front desk did acknowledge us as we left and apologized, but the overall lack of communication and service meant we wasted about 30–35 minutes with nothing to show for it. We went to Smitty's on Sunday of the Labour Day weekend. My father needs accessibility, and we were accommodated. Thank you. However, the server, dressed in head to toe Rider gear was extremely unthoughtful of my Dad's needs. We waited over 10 minutes for her to come with menus, when she was taking the meal away from my Dad, she almost hit his head! she was so rushed during the transaction that she startled my Dad when taking his meal away. We asked for the bill, waited over 6 minutes and then she passed the terminal to my 88 year old father to pay. Heads up, he's used to getting a paper bill to view. She was pretty insensitive to the situation. I understand that it was the Labour Day Classic, but please, please, be more sensitive to your patrons. My Dad has ordered for years takeout, but he was so very flustered and felt rushed. Again, I understand it was a busy morning, but I didn't see other servers being so...
