I like your food and I visit one of your many franchise locations at lease once a week.
However service at the Richmond Centre location sucks and I'd like to share why. I ordered 2 meals at the Richmond Centre location on March 19th order pick-up time 2:30. Upon arrival to the counter, I asked the cashier how to pay as I ordered with my phone app (I'm new to the app) . It was 2:30pm, not a busy time for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. The staff just pointed at the self-pay machine and turned around to continue chatting with her colleague.
The receipt printing machine is behind the monitor, not a friendly location by the way. After paying, I walked to the centre and showed another staff my phone with the order# and she RUDELY asked me where my receipt was, I said I had none (because it was hidden behind the monitor) I had no clue there was even a receipt. She again, RUDELY and LOUDLY this time in Chinese asked me to look carefully, there's a receipt machine. The staff at the cashier was just standing there, could she had advised me to pick up the receipt? yes.. was she busy? no. Could she have assisted me with my payment, yes.
At this point, I've already lost my appetite...why am I paying to get scold at. Anyways, I get my order and walked off with my takeout. My husband asks me to make sure my order was ready..I look in the bag and I was given 2 bubble waffles (when I ordered 1 in total, and iced Olvaltine when asked for ice lemon tea, everything else was correct). So of course we walked back to get what we ordered. The same staff yanks the bag out of my hand and looks at the receipt and makes me a new drink, no sorries no nothing, instead and loudly tells me YOU DON'T GET THIS BUBBLE WAFFLE. I just thought the staff was very unnecessarily rude and unnecessarily loud.
I understand when its busy, staff may occasionally make mistakes. But the level of services is clearly unacceptable. Richmond Franchise owner, if you see this.. please re-train your staff because its not making your brand look very great. Also, yelling out loud in Chinese is not very appropriate at...
Read moreI am a person who doesn’t leave reviews, but I feel like I have to leave my experience for other customers, owner, and employees . I ordered a bubble waffle and a few milk teas through uber, and as I was eating, I bit into something hard.
To my shock, it was a stapler pin embedded in the middle of the waffle. I checked The packaging didn’t even have any staples, so I have no idea how it ended up “inside” the waffle.
I’m deeply concerned about the safety standards in place, as I can’t imagine what would have happened if I had swallowed it. I hope the management takes this seriously and investigates how this could have happened. This incident has left me feeling extremely unsettled, and I would appreciate a response from the staff or owner.
I had almost finished the waffle when I discovered the stapler pin. After the call with uber eat customer service, I’ve started to feel a sudden, unusual scratchiness in my throat. Right now, I’m seriously worried that I might have accidentally swallowed another pin. I hope it’s nothing serious, but if any problems arise, I’ll go to the emergency and get a medical report, which I will formally submit to you. Read moreI would rate this a lot higher than most people. The experience of first eating here was definitely better than before. When I first came here I didn't have to compete with all the delivery orders, so the only caveat of eating from here instead of getting a delivery is you really have to be prepared to wait for a long time... and by long, like 20-30 minutes or more during rush hours like dinner/lunch?
If you ate at the food court, most restaurants would have your orders ready pronto, but because it's a very popular place, I suppose that the number of orders they have to send out tend to pile up. Whoever I was going to eat with would have finished eating their food, and I'd only be starting to eat when I receive what I ordered.
However, I love their bubble waffle,and the milk tea. I also love their fish balls and curry. I only order the same thing so I can't say for sure how good their other menu items are. I tried their chicken meals but not a fan of that since I'm biased towards their curry and oil rice. The softness of the meat on my first few times eating here was better, and I'm not sure if the quality of the food has gone down, it's still very tasty though, especially the sauce!
