Castella Cheesecake Richmond Centre — Restaurant in Richmond

I have visited this place before and I always go in to get something to treat my family. Their products are 6 stars so this 2-star review is for the customer service, or I should say, the lack of. I went with my mom today around early afternoon. and there was another customer, having trouble deciding (totally understand because everything looks delicious). However, the boy at the cashier did not even acknowledge us when we enter the store, and was just looking down at the monitor and yawning. When that customer was done, the staff continued to look at his monitor, without any kind of greeting. I said excuse me and he waved his hand, looking obviously annoyed, instructing us to be directly in front of him by the cashier area. The entire transaction I don't think I heard him say one word. I know he can speak because I heard him answering the man that was before us. I have been to this store before and the staff were always kind, lovely, and helpful. Will avoid this location if possible (Richmond center) I am a frequent castella buyer. This is the first time I purchased at this location and ordered 3 cheese tarts. Two original and one blueberry flavors. I was told be careful while holding since the blueberry jam would spill. I thanked them for letting me know and left the store.

The box was placed in a car truck within a container which I would say it's fairly flat surfaced and when I came home, I opened the box and I was shocked that how in the world can the blueberry jam be this watery and basically spilled out of the whole tart.

I have purchased blueberry cheese tarts before from many locations and not a single day that it could spilled this badly. In addition, how can the jam looked so watery and thin. It looks like upon order, the jam was then added to the original tart rather than it was made ready to be packed. The blueberry jam should be more darker and thick kind of paste.

Anyway it was quite disappointing and will not be conetinue to shop at...

I visited here with my friend in the evening on Dec 9 , and the employee gave us the NASTIEST attitude. She was just rude from the beginning. I asked her a simple question about the drink sizes and she replied "well isn't it obvious, it's a drink of course there's a big and small size". Completely uncalled for given how it was just a simple clarification question. Later on, I had some food leftover so I asked for a bag and paid the $0.25 for it. As the employee was handing me the bag, she eyes my table and rudely tells me to clean up my leftovers on the table. She didn't even give me a chance to WALK BACK to my table, and put my food inside the bag I just bought for that very reason. I will not be returning to this establishment again, and I would deter anyone else from visiting.
