First of all, why is the straw a coffee stir stick?? You can barely get any liquid out of it and it’s too short for the frappe which has whipped cream on top. When I asked for an actual straw (which I saw behind the counter) for the frappe, the employee said to eat all of the cream first and then drink the drink with the coffee stir stick. Kind of gross and talk about cheaping out on a $8 drink???
My group of three got 1 of each type of drink — a frappe, a cloud drink, and a cappuccino. None of them were good. Very unfortunate as I feel like we were baited by all of the good reviews which at this point feel like they were paid reviews or all written by friends or something.
Also the employees are just chatting all the time and I heard them swearing at each other (in a joking way though). Not really a nice atmosphere to be getting drinks from — I don’t want to be hearing f bombs being dropped in a tea shop which is supposed to be cozy and warm. And I noticed the cashier watching whether we were tipping or not. We did not (duh it’s take out) so maybe that’s why they didn’t give us a real straw to drink from even though I asked for one.
Even the decor of this tea shop seemed cheap. The wall poster had the worst translated English in the world (like “compost” “burnt” “foul” types of tea????).
This tea shop definitely does not have the higher end feel that Macu does. I regret skipping Macu and...
Read moreMy friend and I were excited to check at this place out after a long time, as we had never heard of the brand before but heard great things. My friend is a big fan of milk tea, especially Molly Tea so we saw that this looks like a Molly Tea dupe. The atmosphere and the store itself is really nice, but the drinks we ordered (jasmine milk tea and lemon tea) which we're about eight dollars each were super not worth it in our opinions. The milk tea was less than mid, it taste more like milk with a faint taste of tea. and I also disagree with one of the previous reviews, I actually feel like it tastes like a very watery milk. The lemon tea was actually a teeny bit better which is surprising because that's not what they're known for but because of how much ice was in the tea it was also extremely faint in taste and it became like lemon water really quickly. I also ordered less ice too. Overall kind of a disappointment, would not come back here. Service is decent though. For the price of their drinks, I would...
Read morePopular in the UK they’ve made their way down and now have milktea that is brewed with loose leaf teas. This is a spot for anyone who is a tea enthusiast and cares about the quality of their tea.
The frappe is a little bit different where they have a salted whipped cream with the pecan chips that can be eaten separately, but if you let it seep into your milk tea, it actually enhances the flavour. You can customize the sweetness and the temperature of your drink. This is a spot that has sweet, but not too sweet.
I tried their two most popular drinks, the black tea, frappe and the jasmine green tea cappuccino.
Will you be checking them out? If you do, you can get a tea scented air freshener if you like their post on Instagram, but you have to show it to them in person at the cashier ! While...
