Before we even entered the restaurant, we knew this is not a Japanese-run establishment. Japanese-run restaurants take several hours' break in the afternoon. This restaurant doesn't take breaks. Sure enough, it's a Chinese-run sushi restaurant. Not a problem. In fact, we like it. We prefer late lunches. I.e., 2–3 pm. So, this restaurant meets our needs. Nonetheless, Mandarin and English only. No Cantonese.
Wife really likes her $12.95 "Tonkatsu Set Meal." It's not the greatest, but at this price point, it's a great value, with big portions and, most importantly, quite delicious.
Not so much for my $13.95 "Yaki Udon Chicken Set Meal" though. The flavor is too heavy. Every chopstick-full of noodles makes me thirst-quenching. It was too much for my taste buds. Never again!!
Nigiri Sushis are pretty good. Great value. Standard size. Tasted fresh.
One reviewer complained, "wild salmon is frozen."

Read moreI have been here multiple times ever since it was open and I actually enjoyed this place. But over the past two years they have been ripping us off by giving us tuna when we ordered toro/ hamachi. We informed the waiter and the chef "we ordered toro/ hamachi nigiri, not tuna." They would tell us "This is our toro/hamachi." Few month later we went back since we thought we should give them another chance. My dad and I ordered hamachi nigiri. Once again they gave us tuna. We noticed the couple behind us eating hamachi sashimi so we called the waiter and told her "The couple behind us is eating hamachi, and what you gave us is tuna." The waiter then told us "we use different part of hamachi when we serve the hamachi nigiri." The nigiri they gave us did not have the same colour or texture as hamachi. My grandpa is a professional sushi chef in Japan and he has been taking me to Japanese fisherman's market ever since I was a child. I am confident in my knowledge in fish due to the fact my grandpa has been educating me.
I want sushi house to stop thinking people are dumb and can't differentiate between what is tuna and hamachi. They should be giving the customer the proper quality and what they deserve as they are paying for what they...
