Tandoori Kona Restaurant(Order from our website & save More!) — Restaurant in Richmond

We ordered an $80 to go order yesterday for our family and special guests. This included 6 vegetable samosa's, naan, channa masalas, dal turka, pulao and fish masala. This was the worst tasting Indian food I have ever experienced in my entire life. The samosa's tasted like they were made from a day or two before. The samosa's had a thick dough which is pretty unusual from other samosa's I have eaten. When I sliced the samosa in half, it revealed oddly coloured potatoes and it was filled with grease. I threw the samosa's out because they were absolutely horrific. The channa masala was very bland and not flavourful and I ordered 2 of these dishes and now I am stuck with an entire container of it. The naan was very thick, hard to rip apart and there was nothing special about them. The dal turka was extremely spicy (we're Indian and still found it spicy even after specifying for a MILD spice.) Our guests were non-Indian and they were unable to enjoy the dal turka because it was too spicy for them as well. There was barely any fish in our fish masala and basically tasted like fish pieces swimming in a butter chicken sauce. We have been giving this place our business for the last 10 years but this was definitely the last time we are ordering from this restaurant. Over priced and horrendous food, not only was I upset none of us felt full after eating this food but it was a complete waste of $80 during these covid times. I am really shocked that the food was not fresh and it was mortifying to see the dissatisfaction and disgust on my family members and guests faces. Terrible experience! We tried this place for the first time and ordered delivery. They forgot to pack half of our order which is really bad considering we only had 2 curries and an appetizer and they forgot to pack 1 curry and the appetizer. We waited almost 90min to get the food and to find half of it missing for such a small and simple order was extremely disappointing. When we called to notify them, they had the nerve to ask us to come pick up the rest of the order because they found it was still sitting at the restaurant. We found their request quite outrageous considering we had already waited so long for delivery. They didn't offer to refund anything, until we asked for it. They had to call us back after checking with the manager and only refunded the 2 items they forgot to pack with the order. We felt the right thing for them to do as a business was refund our entire order considering they had messed it up so bad and the long wait, however the way they handled the situation was indicative of how poorly run they are. As for the food we did receive, the butter chicken was clearly watered down and on the bland side and the roti was dry and undercooked. Mall food-court Indian is better than this place. This restaurant has horrible ethics and customer service. Our friends and I ordered dinner from them online, but opted to pay in person rather than online. Upon arriving our friend who went to pay was informed that the online prices were not correct and that the dishes would be a few dollars more. When picking up the order we asked for one additional Samosa sauce as we had 3 orders of it and the 2 provided would not have been enough. Upon going to pay the bill was almost $30 more than the online price, and they charged an additional $2.50 for a small sauce. We voiced our concerns on this price disparity but nothing was offered to resolve the situation so we left home to eat our food. Upon arriving home on top of all the previous issues, our 3 orders of rice were forgotten in the order, and when we called the restaurant blamed us on the phone saying it was in the bags provided……My friends and I will certainly not be dining here or ordering takeout ever again. I strongly recommend other Indian restaurants such as Himalaya or Ginger Indian over this...
