I recently came here for a friends birthday celebration (just as a dinner, we didn't tell the staff). The place wasn't very busy and they had one lady serving and one guy bartending. The atmosphere was nice, the music wasn't too loud but it was pretty dark except for the very bright jukebox (which was kinda shining into my friends eyes). The drinks were fast but our table appetiser took a long time because the server didn't communicate with the kitchen that we wanted the breadsticks as an appetiser. Our meals didn't take much longer to come out after that but I was slightly disappointed in the meal. I got the chicken burger and it was very crispy but it had too much breading and not enough else on the burger to really balance it out. The bacon was kinda unnecessary, it was far to crispy (and I like crispy bacon), where it just was too much crispy, oily taste. I think the burger could've benefitted from an acid, like pickled red onions. I don't think I would have that particular meal but I would go back to Leopolds and try a different meal, maybe the tacos. We then waited ~35 minutes for the bill after we asked twice for it, and then the lowest tip option was 18%. I would have tipped her 12-15% but it would have taken longer to type it in and the service was't really good enough for me to care. The lemonades are...
Read moreI was very excited to go and eat at this tavern but was highly disappointed by the lack of service. I was told to wait outside due to covid but there was no clear timing on when a table would be available or a specified seating area. The weather was quite windy and I waited by the seats close by to keep look out. My friend had gone in after a few minutes and was told that we would have a table available in 30 minutes. To avoid the harsh weather, we went for a small walk to indoor stores and returned well before the 30 minutes. After over an hour of waiting, we were told that our seat was unavailable because we were not present at the sight when staff came to look for us. We were given the option to go on another wait list but it seemed pointless at this point because of the lack of communication and uncertainty. I highly recommend that this location consider a waiting list with phone numbers to text individuals when a table is ready or have a better system in place than waiting for unknown hours in unpredictable weather conditions. Also, a time limit for seating wouldn't be a bad idea as well. We did take our...
Read moreVery bad experience with worse service and expensive. We had the server named Natasha and I’ve never left a restaurant feeling as bad as I did. Our food took an hour to come out and I did not receive my whole meal (server told me they had to remake the eggs). I tried to flag down the server for syrup and I was brushed off 2 times until I waited she did not seem so busy because maybe she thought I was going to ask for my eggs. I was charged $1.50 for the syrup when she finally brought it to our table. She didn’t ask us about our meals or offer more drinks and really made us feel like we were so out of place and unwelcomed, just by the way she interacted with other customers compared to us. I’ve never been treated like this in a restaurant before I was so shocked. We all left there upset especially because it was before Covid since the last time and I wanted to show my friends a cool spot. Was so disappointing so I will never go again and will warn others of the place and Natasha’s extreme...
