Picaro is definitely one of the best spots to eat and drink in Saskatoon. I’ve been to Picaro over 15 times and every time the service is fantastic, the food is well priced and delicious, and the cocktails are absolutely on point.

If you have the chance, opt to sit at the bar and have Rowan and Wes craft you expert level cocktails. Even if you don’t know what you want, you can tell them what you like and they’ll make something off the menu that you’ll absolutely love. They’re creative, down to earth, and charismatic enough to serve any type of customer and groups of any size.

If you’re just walking through the door for brunch, lunch, or dinner, have no fear, no matter what you order, you can expect it to be quick, delicious, and fresh. Their tacos are well priced, stunning on the plate, and use inventive combinations of ingredients. You can stick with a classic favourites or opt for the Rogue taco which is a daily specialty taco that in my experience has NEVER been bad. The beef is rich and complex, the fish is crisp, fresh, and spicy, and the pork is flavourful and jaw-dropping.

If you’re thinking this review is a little too much - trust me, it’s really not. The atmosphere is fun, spacious, but still intimate, the staff are hilarious and welcoming, and the food and drink are absolutely top notch. Expect to have a fantastic time, and plan to stay longer than anticipated. Picaro will exceed your expectations and push the bar further for what restaurants in Saskatoon can provide.
