#HAIRassment READ & SHARE - Horrible restaurant! 🤮😡 (It’s not about the hair it’s about the way we got treated!) So today, myself and my classmates were next door for lunch at 👉🏼THIEN VIETNAM on 3rd ave.👈🏼 My friend found a white hair IN his spring roll, we all could not finish eating. We put the hair on the side of the table & had politely showed one of the servers. Without apologizing, She took his plate in one hand, and the hair in the other. A different lady comes back to our table with his plate, puts it down and asks where the hair is? I replied that the other server just took it? She then gets angry with us saying that she just checked and NOONE working has white hair.... i replied “Neither do any of us????” She walks away, leaves the plate on the table after they already took it away once. And then she does not come back..at all ... after waiting some time , we go up to the front where customers pay, to talk to the manger who after I found out is the OWNER. I start telling him the situation and said we are here once or twice a week. He YELLS at me that noone working has white hair! Then violently starts to curse at us that we can pay and GET THE F OUT, and never come back! I then, said i have worked in the restaurant industry for 10 years – he should not have to pay for his meal. The owner kept going off &swearing - so I said we should not have to pay for our meals that we could not eat – and that the terrible, disrespectful customer service ! He then starts getting angrier saying f you & saying we must pay or he will call the cops. We ended up yelling at each other and he's cursing at us in front on the customers. I’m going to pay so I can out of there and He screamed at me YOU GET THE F OUT AN NEVER COME BACK NOWWWWW!!! so i walked out – and my friends had to pay for their meals and mine. Then says we F'ers can never come back. So gross and the worst customer service i have ever experienced in my life! I wish we would have taken a pic or recorded that. I would never recommend this place to anyone!! Please go read the hundreds of terrible reviews on google & Facebook sharing the...
Read moreFeb 17th I ordered for delivery a Dinner for 2A and an order of Beef vegetable chow mein. Delivery was 45 minutes (not bad) so I tipped the driver because he was nice. The food on the other hand was not nice. It tasted horrible! Very disappointing. The rice in the chicken fried rice was dry, the chicken balls even drier! Hard to chew, so I spit it out and cut the other ones in half, realizing that they only had a tiny cube of meat inside each. The noodles in the chow mein were over fried (shriveled) & very greasy ☹ so I tried the wonton soup (usually my favorite) and the beef tasted old! What the heck is wrong with all this food I thought. So, I phoned and the woman said maybe it was my taste buds. My taste buds are fine I told her. I can taste everything just fine all day. The meal itself is disgusting 😒 I told her everything except the spring rolls is gross, I will not eat the food. I asked to speak to the manager. She replies, that the manager is not there but she will pass the message on for him to call me. That no other customer has complained today. Even people ordering 2 of everything. (Can these people taste that the food is old, dry and overly fried with greasy?) Anyways, I will wait to see what management says and finish post later.
This review below was 10 months ago: I ordered for delivery a dinner for 2b for 19.95 and an order of deep fried spring rolls for 6.95 which equals $26.90 then the delivery cost of an additional $5 for a total of $31.90 The receipt said $37.15 when the delivery guy showed up so I paid for it. Later calling the restaurant and the woman was having a hard time...
Read moreI have always enjoyed Thien and frequently visited both the restaurant and ordered take-out. Today I visited Thien at their new location on 3rd Ave and was deeply disappointed with the in-house service. We went to Thien over the noon hour and waited over an hour for 2 noodle bowls. We were seated and then “forgotten about”, and I went to the till to order our food about 15 minutes later. After approximately 45 minutes I went back to the till to inquire about our order and was advised it would be ready in 2 minutes. Our food arrived a few minutes later and by this point we had to leave. We requested take-out containers and that was completely ignored. A few observations from our visit – They were unprepared for the noon hour rush. The surrounding 8 or so tables all experienced either the same issue, or received cold food. Servers were bringing out meals to wrong tables and then asking if the patron would accept the wrong meal. The manager on duty refused to discount our food for the inconvenience of this entire situation. They were very busy with take-out orders and there were no less than 5 Skip the Dishes drivers there at any given time. It is an unfortunate situation as I have always enjoyed Thien’s food. I may continue to order take-out, but will not dine...
