My wife and I always have the Buffalo chicken as our go-to. Figured I would finally leave a review.
Food (got Buffalo chicken strips, no slaw or blue cheese dressing) chicken 8/10 - nice crispy breading and a decent portion Buffalo sauce 10/10 - great tasting sauce seasoned vegetables 2/10 - looks like they scraped leftovers off of someone’s plate. Wasn’t a good taste and a small portion. fries 5/10 - fresh cut fries no salt or seasoning to them. Nothing special really I have had better and had worse.
Service 4/10 Normally service isn’t a big issue here besides the wait time. This time I called to order and the employee told me they would call me when it’s ready and then hung up. I have never had a take out order not give me an eta and call me when it’s ready. What if the person lived 10-15 minutes away the food would be cold by the time they got to the restaurant let alone home. I called back to ask what an eta is and I was told “in a little bit” after further discussion I was finally told 20-25 minutes. Upon arrival when the food was brought out I always check the order before leaving. The order was missing the seasoned vegetables as well as the extra Buffalo sauce for the chicken we ordered. The worker grabs the vegetables and forgets to get the sauce. Then the employee tells me that it’s in the containers even though I opened them infront of him to see there was only 1. After returning to the kitchen he comes out with a single side of barbecue sauce. Must be a new employee but if so I wouldn’t have them on a station by themself if they are not properly trained. Employee seemed nice it could have been an off...
Read moreI have eaten at Casey's in the Sault several times over the years. I have never had a terrible experience like I did last night. My daughter's pasta was overcooked to the point of being mush, my husband got less than a quarter cup of ground beef on his nachos for an additional charge of $5 on top of the $20 it already cost for a plate of chips with hardly any cheese, and my rotisserie chicken dinner consisted of a wing that still had the bones and cartilage from the breast being cut off and the smallest leg you ever saw, with dried out potatoes. Not only that, my daughter was served sour chocolate milk, and it took over an hour to get our food. We watched four other tables who arrived after us get served their food first. The waitress was unfriendly and unapologetic. Her supervisor presented us with a $15 dollar coupon in an attempt to make up for the disastrous experience... it didn't even come close. If this had been my first time eating there, I certainly would never go back. I might not anyway. Coming from Wawa, the opportunity to eat out in the city doesn't happen often. It was extremely...
Read moreThe atmosphere was good, felt like a high end restaurant. (middle high) and the menu was priced according. We were a little put off by the prices of the steak since we've stopped at several steak restaurants lately and got cheap new York strips that were very very good at half the cost. That's okay though, because there are value items on the menu that make this a worth while stop for a budget/ convince sake.
We shared a nachos (it was really good, well payed, medium sized nachos.) sorry, I didn't get photos of the nachos.. We were hungry and it was gone before we knew it.
2 of us got a burger and fries, others got the fish and chips and chicken wrap.
The fries were really good, same with the burgers. The fish and chips and chicken wrap were both okay. They were good but both individuals said they would get something else next time.
Those menu items are all under $20 so if you split the nachos 4 ways, and get water to drink your meal will come to 25ish-30 with tip. Not too bad if you're looking to save a little and not leave the hotel for...
