If you're ever in Sault Ste. Marie, do yourself a favor and hit up Holy Shakes—this place is an absolute hidden gem! 🍔🥤 The moment you step in, you know you're in for a treat. The vibe is laid-back, but the flavors? Next level! I tried their Kathi Roll, and let me tell you, it was pure magic wrapped in a soft, warm paratha. The butter chicken in it was perfectly spiced and creamy—comfort food with a kick. Then came the Achari Chaamp (pickled lamb chops), and wow, they were so tender and packed with flavor. A little tangy, a little spicy—just the right balance. The Bao was next—soft, fluffy, and filled with the most delicious filling that’s practically bursting with flavor in every bite. Seriously, the bao was everything I didn’t know I needed. And of course, the shakes! You can’t go to Holy Shakes without trying their shakes. Whether you’re into classic chocolate or more adventurous flavors, their shakes are thick, creamy, and perfectly sweetened. It's the kind of shake you can’t stop sipping until the last drop. This spot is a must-try for anyone in the area. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, you won’t regret it! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served with a side of friendly service. Highly recommend...
Read moreI've only been once so I'm saying this lightly, but I really think their flavour balances are a bit off. I'm gonna go back so I'll edit this if need be, but the vanilla milkshake tastes way more milk than vanilla, and the strawberry cheesecake shake tastes so much of strawberry and not much of cheesecake. I also ordered the veggie burger and was surprised with what I got. The picture shows cheese and a yellow sauce (I'm assuming mustard) neither of which I got. No cheese, and the sauce was a sweet/sour/hot sauce? I know the sauce but I've never learned the name, I should though because I know I don't like that sauce LOL! It's not very helpful that there aren't more descriptions or explanations of the food because I definitely would have asked for cheese and no sauce.
Aside from that, they do FABULOUS fries, though very light on the Cajun seasoning. And the concept of keeping glass bottles and bringing them back for a discount? As someone who loves the planet, I love that.
Definitely want to return, and hope to see those little issues ironed out...
Read moreI saw a few places online mentioned that you guys had vegan and gluten free options so we drove out of our way to check it out. Pretty disappointed to get there and try to ask about their options and the girl working the counter couldn't answer any of my questions and didn't want to take any initiative to try and find out if anything was actually safe for me to eat. She was apparently very comfortable with the idea of serving me something that would make me ill. Can't trust a restaurant that hires employees that don't care. I would have taken a "no" as an answer and not felt the need to affect the rating but that kind of service is unacceptable. EDIT: My partner still got something because he doesn't have eating restrictions and they didn't even bother fully closing the container so it spilled out in the bag making a huge mess when he tried taking it out. Bravo Holy Shakes. (Partner wiped the container clean before I was able to get a picture but here's how open it was when he...
