TLDR: Would never recommend this location again to anyone! Avoid unless you want unsanitary food and incompetence with what you ordered for dietary needs.
Full Detail: We ordered through Skip yesterday for dinner. It took about 45 minutes to receive order. Instructions for the order were clearly written out. Two out of the three items we received were incorrect. One person could not eat their dinner due to never receiving cauliflower rice with their order.
We contacted Skip but service with the agents were on the slow side so we tried to contact the location directly through the phone line as they were still open while waiting to hear back from a Skip agent (we were concerned the establishment would be closing soon to try and get our order re-delivered to us correctly by the time it got to us). They never picked up their line after attempting to call three times but remained open.
Eventually got a hold of a Skip representative who did refund us the two meals plus any additional charges so we could re-place the order as we were unable to get a hold of Edo directly while trying to get a hold of an agent from Skip at the time (this process took an additional 40 minutes after getting the order trying to deal with this place btw).
When we went to put the order through again so we could receive the correct items, the app then told us "no longer accepting deliveries" - our concern for this possibly happening became true. So one person did not get to eat completely what they ordered while the other person who had part of their order messed up as well only ate the chicken. They ended up getting their food else where.
After the ordeal I had to re-heat my food in the microwave as it became very cold trying to deal with this headache. I found two strands of hair in part of my meal that was not mine while stirring the food up after heating. I no longer trusted my own meal and found something else to eat. Unfortunately could not contact Skip about this part of the problem as I had already contacted them and received credit for part of the order.

However, while my partner and I had lunch, we watched one of the workers fill their water bottle from the fountain machine, leave it out to silence an alarm and come back to it about 10 mins later. My partner and I are also both celiac, meaning we require that our food be prepared with extra care so we don't get sick. Normally, Edo is very good with gluten but somehow, even though we both specified that our food was required to be gluten free and double checked their allergen list just to be safe, we both ended up getting dosed as well as being given soy sauce with wheat in it. While we know it may have been a fluke, the staff's relaxed behavior didn't give us much hope that the contamination wasn't due to the workers'...
Read moreGreat Edo in Sherwood park! We always make the drive from North side Edmonton to eat here. Service is fast without skipping on quality. The doors are always opening and closing with customers coming and going, which is a positive sign patrons are enjoying the food. Something I personally pay attention to as a foodie, if the place is dead that usually doesn't bode well for the establishment. So yeah! If you're in the area definitely pop into this Edo!
