Polos Social Lounge — Restaurant in Sherwood Park

Went to Polo's this past weekend with my boyfriend. We have been to Polo's in the past and had a good experience but this past visit we had terrible food and service. I ordered a cocktail off the menu and the waitress looked annoyed when I ordered it and had to go look up the recipe in order to make it. My boyfriend then ordered the bacon & prime rib burger, when it came out it was under cooked and the bottom bun was extremely soggy, he took one bite of the burger and was completely turned off by it. He also got the cesar salad as a side, and the salad was not fresh it clearly came from a bagged cesar salad kit that you buy at the store. When the manager came over to see what the issue was he started the conversation by asking if the burger was too big, which we found to be a rude and off putting comment. We told him the burger was mushy and the bun was soggy, the manager got a little defensive and seemed annoyed at us for complaining. The waitress who was serving us came over numerous times after that to find out what the issue was, we told her it was dealt with but she keeping prying at us. I finally told her the burger was mushy and soggy, she got defensive with us and told us that they never get complaints about that burger. This was our 3rd visit, and we will definitely never go back, and I would not recommend this place to others. The only reason i am giving this review even 2 stars was because the food is amazing. So myself and 3 other co workers decided to take an early day and go somewhere for a couple of drinks and some food. We decided on Polos as it really close to work. So i call and ask what the specials are , as we were looking for somewhere that had a special on, and was told by the lady who answered the phone that there was 4 dollars drinks and 1/2 price appys. We said great and headed there. We get there and the "manager" comes and ask what we would like and i said we were here for the drink and appy special. She said the the special doesn't start till 1 o'clock and it was only 12:20...I tell here we just called and they never said anything about 1 o'clock. She proceeds to tell me in a rude voice "I" am the manager and i don't know who would have said that. We decide to have drinks at regular price and wait for the food special to start . She gets our drinks and had to flag her down even at 1:10 to order the appys and it wasn't even busy. Like i said, the food was great. Then we ask for the bill and after 15 minutes of not getting the bill , My co worker who was paying asked her for the bill again when she was walking by and once again in a rude matter said " i told you i will be right with you" . UPDATED MARCH 2025 - I went back to have their meatloaf this month and what a huge disappointment. For $26 I couldn't believe how poor the quality & portion size was. I kept having to pick gristle out of my mouth from the meatloaf & bacon bits on my lettuce wedge. The texture was more like mush which told me there must have been an awful lot of filler in it. I was so turned off I couldn't eat the second piece and let me tell you, there wasn't enough there to feel full after. Because I was with a date, I didn't feel comfortable complaining at the time, but I did call and talk to the manager afterwards. He was unapologetic and justified how I was wrong because he eats the meatloaf once a week. I am a very slow eater and I chew my food more than most, so I could see most people not noticing. None the less, although service was good, I won't go back. Spending that much money on meat loaf is ridiculous as it is, but if it was good I was ok with it. Very disappointing!

I finally made it to Polos in the Park to have dinner. So glad we went! The service was FANTASTIC!! Aydrian gave such amazing service, just the right amount of attention without hovering! The food was great and so were their Cesar's!! The meatloaf was fantastic! I myself make an awesome meatloaf, but I think theirs was even better than mine😖 lol We will definitely be back!...
