OPA! of Greece Emerald Hills — Restaurant in Sherwood Park

Would rate zero stars if I could but that’s not an option. We stopped in at 8:30 which is 30 minutes before the posted closing time of 9:00pm (aka, WELL BEFORE CLOSING TIME) and got told all they had available is salads 😒 no souvlaki, no calamari and no fries. Refused to cook anything for us because they “have cleaning duties that they have to start before closing”. I’m sorry, but if your posted hours of business say that you’re open until 9:00pm, you should be serving your whole damn menu until 9:00pm, and not shutting down early just because your employees want to dip out asap after the store closes. Extremely annoying and I just hope this was just an isolated employee being lazy and not how you guys actually want to run...

we live 2.5 hours away and stopped in to get something to eat in the vehicle for the trip home. I did find it was exceptionally noisy in there, which only mildly irritated me. However, half an hour down the highway, I open my Greek platter only to discover my chicken kabob was actually a shrimp kabob. I HATE shrimp! I guess it's a good thing I don't have a shellfish allergy, because it was plunked on top of the rest of the food. So I figured I could at least eat the rice. Nope. Quite a few rice bits were still hard and barely cooked. I paid $15 and am only able to eat a chunk of potato and maybe half a cup of Caesar salad, which was also very watery or something. We walked in at 7:55pm. Did not tell us they were about to close. Rushed our to stay order. Hardly any salad on plate, pita bread hardly toasted, meat was luke warm. Three more guests walked in after us they took their orders. Half way through their orders they get told they will have to take thier orders to go because they are closed since its past 8pm. Suddenly our orders get put in to go containers. The worst customer service ever. We finished our food sitting in the place at 8:15pm. If they are open till 8pm technically they are supposed to serve sit down customers till that time. 0 stars is what I would give if that...
