We ordered a few dishes, including Special Seolleongtang, a Korean soup made from beef bones cooked for over 40 hours. The broth was milky and not greasy, with a mild flavor. It included a generous portion of beef slices, tripe, Korean noodles, and was topped with green onions. Additionally, it came with a small bowl of rice mixed with purple rice.
The dish came with several types of banchan (Korean side dishes), including spicy radish, fresh kimchi, zucchini and Korean fishcake. Some were slightly sweet and spicy, while others had savory flavor.
We also ordered Seafood Korean Pancake, filled with shrimp, squid, green onions and carrots. It was freshly made to order, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and came with a dipping sauce that had a nice balance of spiciness and vinegar.
For our next dish, we had Bulgogi and Cold Buckwheat Noodle with spicy sauce combo. The Bulgogi featured plenty of beef, along with cabbage, carrots and green onions, offering a sweet and slightly savory taste. The cold noodles were topped with egg, cucumber, radish and sesame seeds, served in a special cold broth. We mixed them with the Korean spicy sauce before eating, and the staff even provided scissors to cut the long noodles for easier eating, which was very thoughtful.
Overall, the taste of the food was great, especially the banchan. The staff explained each dish as it was served and were attentive to our needs during the meal. Their service...
Read moreI went there for brunch on Sunday at 11am and I was the only one there as they had just opened; I was greeted by Mon-kyung who was super kind and friendly and welcoming. Upon being seated I was given the menu and was asked if there was anything in particular I wanted to try (she made nice recommendations for my boyfriend who wanted a meaty soup) and we ended up getting two soups (I got bone broth soup, my boyfriend got meat soup) and we shared a seafood pancake. The side dishes were absolutely amazing and it made me excited to try the food as I usually know the quality of the restaurant by their kimchi and it did not disappoint! The soups were amazing; the meat was so tender and it say in a rich and flavourful broth and the seafood pancake was absolutely delicious with the crispy edges and the soft centre and perfectly cooked green onions and seafood mix. Overall the experience was very pleasant and I asked her if they did bbq and she said not on the tables they do it themselves in the kitchen and bring it out cooked but as I was leaving she told me they will start doing table bbq starting next week so I will definitely be coming back and I look forward to...
Read moreGood service and the food was tasty. It’s relatively new with its grand opening that happened last week.
Banchan included cabbage kimchi, sweet soy fish cake, zucchini kimchi, and radish kimchi. Delicious and refillable.
Naengmyeon didn’t have as much sauce/soup as I typically prefer, and was absorbed pretty much by the time we got to it but it was delicious. The combo galbi order was smoky and well marinated but a little too tough and only served 3 pieces. The price seemed a little high.
The hotpot option was tasty - brisket was soft and beef well cooked. I did find myself wanting a bit more with the dipping sauce because of the soup itself is not very flavourful (similar to seollangtang but there were no salt/ additions available to add to it).
The seafood pancake was noticeably crispy!
Another thing to note is: they serve 1 cup of barley tea but we noticed there was no water jug available. We also did not think to ask for one but noticed other tables also did not get them.
Overall good service, and good food with room for...
