If there’s one thing Kohshar Grill absolutely nails, it’s the ambiance. From the moment you step in, the cozy, welcoming vibe is impossible to miss. The space is thoughtfully designed, and the prayer room is such a nice touch—it’s peaceful, clean, and earns an 11/10 in my book.

As for the food, it’s… okay. It’s not bad by any means, but it doesn’t quite capture the bold, authentic flavors you’d expect from a Pakistani restaurant. The menu is limited, which might work for some, but the variety left me wanting more.

Here’s what we had: We went for the family platter, which includes 1/2 kg of Chicken Karahi, two Seekh Kebabs, two Malai Boti, four naan, and four drinks. It’s advertised for four people, but honestly, it’s better suited for three. • Chicken Karahi: 2.5/5 – it was just average, lacking the depth of flavor you’d hope for. • Beef Seekh Kebab: 4/5 – flavorful and cooked well. • Chicken Malai Boti: 4/5 – tender and tasty. • Naan: 1.5/5 – this was a letdown. It felt more like an afterthought.

I swapped my drink for a mojito, and we also tried the Shahi Kulfa for dessert. Sadly, neither hit the mark—both were a 1/5.

The service was good, and the staff were attentive and friendly. I’d give it an 8/10 overall. The pricing, though, is on the higher side. It feels like they’re aiming for fine dining prices without delivering that level of food quality.

It’s the kind of place you go for the ambiance, not necessarily the food. It’s perfect if you’re looking to spend quality time in a beautiful setting, and the prayer room is a standout feature that sets it apart. Just don’t expect a culinary adventure. The food has its moments, but at these prices, it leaves you wanting more.

Would I go back? Maybe—for the ambiance and to try a couple of other dishes on the menu. But if authentic flavors and value for money are your top priorities, this might not...

A Gem in Edmonton – Exceptional Food & Hospitality!

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Kohsaar Grill while visiting Edmonton for an event, and I can confidently say this restaurant deserves every bit of a 5-star rating!

From the moment I walked in, we were warmly greeted by their amazing staff, who went above and beyond to ensure a welcoming and comfortable experience. The management team clearly prioritizes hospitality, as they were attentive, respectful, and genuinely cared about every guest’s dining experience. It’s rare to find a restaurant where you feel like family, and Kohsaar Grill delivers that feeling effortlessly.

Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely phenomenal! Every dish was packed with authentic flavors, cooked to perfection, and presented beautifully. Whether you’re in the mood for their juicy kebabs, perfectly seasoned rice, or tender grilled meats, you will not be disappointed. The ingredients were fresh, the portion sizes were generous, and the quality was second to none. You can truly taste the passion and expertise in every bite!

The ambiance of the restaurant was also worth mentioning—clean, cozy, and perfect for both intimate dinners and large gatherings. The entire experience, from the service to the food to the overall atmosphere, was nothing short of incredible. The team did an amazing gallery wall which you cannot miss!

I highly recommend Kohsaar Grill to anyone looking for delicious food, top-tier hospitality, and an overall outstanding dining experience. A huge thank you to the staff and management for making my visit so memorable. I will definitely be...

A True 10/10 Pakistani Culinary Experience at Kohsar, Edmonton!

Edmonton has long awaited a fine dining experience like Kohsar, and it has truly exceeded all expectations. Finally, we have a place that offers authentic Pakistani flavors in a setting where we can sit with pride and enjoy the rich cultural heritage that Pakistani cuisine brings.

Located in a prime spot with ample parking, Kohsar’s ambiance is festive yet elegant, transporting you back to Pakistan as soon as you walk in. The food is absolutely excellent, with traditional dishes like Sajji that offer a genuine taste of home. What makes Kohsar even more remarkable is its focus on health. The minimal use of oil, or even oil-free dishes, means the food is not only delicious but also very healthy—allowing you to indulge guilt-free.

A special mention goes to Khalid Aziz and Salman Naseer, whose dedication and personal touch make every visit feel special. Their passion for ensuring the finest dining experience shows in everything from the food to the service. Bringing friends here is always a treat, and I know I’ll be back often.

If you’re in Edmonton and looking for an exceptional Pakistani fine dining experience, Kohsar is the place to be. Highly recommended for anyone who loves healthy, authentic, and delicious traditional food served...

Went there for eid brunch buffet. Everything was very delicious with a versatile menu. The owner is very kind & accommodated us without reservation. Love the ambiance of the restaurant. One of the best Pakistani restaurants in town. Will come back soon inshAllah.

I recently visited Kohsaar Grill based on a colleague's recommendation. While he warned me about the high prices, as a food lover, I prioritize taste and quality over cost. I decided to take my family for dinner, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. Pros: The beef kebabs were the only standout dish, with decent flavor. The ambiance was better compared to most halal restaurants in Edmonton and Calgary. Cons: The prices are outrageously high for the portion sizes. The food quality was disappointing. Most items seemed reheated, with minimal freshness. The chicken pie was half-frozen, and the Kadhai lacked any flavor—it was the worst dish we tried. Lamb shanks and Kabuli pulao were unimpressive and overpriced. Our order included a family platter for four ($89), three extra kebabs ($21), malai boti ($21 for 3 skewers), lamb shanks ($43 for 2), Kabuli pulao ($7), and a chicken pie ($15). With the tip, the total came to $220. Unfortunately, the food was not worth the price. If you're looking for a good dining experience, I would recommend skipping this place. If ambiance is your priority, you’re better off visiting a museum. I’ve shared my experience with friends and wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.
