I was so excited to see a viet cafe in Edmonton and it did not dissappoint! My favourite was the Vietnamese salted coffee ($7). This coffee is not for the weak hearted, it definitely tasted like the ones in Vietnam which are meant to be sipped slowly and savoured. It was so delicious!! The tamarind drink was refreshing and unique. The banh mi ($11) is now one of my favourites in edmonton, the baguette was lightly crispy on the outside but so soft and spongy on the inside (it doesnât rip your gums apart lol) the veggies could be a bit more pickled and there could have been more butter and pate spread but the meat and size overall was generous. The salted egg yolk cupcake was also unique and delicious, very fluffy with a great balance of flavours. Service was lovely with a variety of unique items for sale on the shelf. I wish they had their daily rotating features available everyday, wouldâve loved to try the durian crepe cake and banh da lon but...
Read moreTried this place for the first time last month with my husband and we were pleasantly surprised with the food. We LOVED the Vietnamese coffee and the classic Banh Mi. The bread tasted fresh and crispy and we did feel like there was an adequate ratio of meat in the subs. Neither of us really cared too much for the salted egg cupcakes but maybe because of the pork floss taste (?) (I love pork floss in general but the flavour tasted a bit off in a salty cupcake). The people working there are extremely friendly so it created a very welcoming atmosphere. The place itself is super small so it is more of a takeout joint than dine in (I think there was only 1 or 2 tables). Price wise...it is pretty much on par with most sub places on the southside that we...
Read moreWhen others come here for coffee, banh miďźI actually come here for their desserts. I love their Wednesday options which is Pandan layer cake and Caramel Flan. Caramel Flan is good but I love Pandan Layer cake more, love the taste of it and the soft chewy kind of texture, it is something that I always love. So lucky I found it here. Also love their salted egg sponge cake roll and I tried their salted egg yolk croissant as well. As soon as I got them in a box for take away, I could immediately feel how much fillings they have put inside the croissant. My picture don't do the justice, it is more than what you see and I ended up having a lot of salted egg yolk on my hand. I will sure always come back for their desserts whenever I'm...
