Although the 2 Beaver Tails we purchased were warm when we received them, we were disappointed that they were very similar to thin flatbread in texture rather than the soft fluffier dough that we are used to. Very disappointing to say the least.

We appreciate your offer, but we’re declining it for now. In the event that we should visit your establishment again in the future, we will be better prepared to not accept the goods if the product is not satisfactory.

We have purchased from Beavertails almost since its inception while visiting the Rideau Canal in Ottawa and again in Toronto at Queens Quay/Harbourfront. Neither time were we disappointed in the quality of the product. Perhaps this may warrant a review of your process and some QC thereafter.

We hope that our experience was only an exception and not the rule, for the sake of your businesses future.

Sorry we can’t give a fair rating or review because we found that the consistency of the finished product was not like prior experiences with other locations. We honestly felt like we were eating flatbread or pita bread compared with the donut like experience of the past. Going forward we will make sure that the consistency is the same as the past before we endeavour to purchase the product again. Excellent Canadian desserts! There is something for everyone, including vegans. I believe there are 2 or 3 vegan options on top of the dozen or so other delicious options.

This location is right at the main entrance of the Blue Mountain village. On top of the doughy, fried goodness, they offer hot chocolate to make it a combo.

If your intent is to make this a dessert and not your breakfast, lunch or dinner, then there are a ton of other places you can grab takeout (written during the COVID pandemic). The place is extremely dirty. There are no trays or paper trays to serve your order. The hot chocolate spilled onto my husband’s hands and burned him very badly, and instead of helping, the staff scowled at us as if it was somehow our fault and we did it on purpose!!!! The staff are rude and unprofessional. When we order two or more coffees, they will just dump everything on the table, as if we’re expected to carry them with no help.
