Disgusting. If I could zero stars I would. The food was watered down and oily ( got a large chicken shawarma for 18$) the taste was terrible I ordered my poutine at 12:11pm went to get a drink from Tim’s and went to go find somewhere to eat found the food was disgusting (had maybe 6 bites max) compared to when I usually get it every year so I was planning to go back and talk to them but it started to rain so waited a couple of minutes and went back at 12:43 to talk to them to see what they could do. ( my family also got two other but threw it out same thing happens to theirs it was watered down and flavorless) for 18 when I got there I let them know that I wasn’t trying to be mean or start anything I was just disappointed in what happened. The lady that was working on cash told me the could do anything because it was a hour after? 12:11-12:43 1 hour??? But that’s beside the point she talked to me as if I was a child and was not professional at all and was not nice in the slightest bit And called me a liar for saying the food wasn’t watered down from the beginning???? then said she would call her manager in a mean tone of voice. The General manager comes out to talk to me and says that because it wasn’t fresh that they couldn’t do anything (it was still warm) he wasn’t in the mood of being nice to customers and listening in a customer oriented company I would thing customers and the service that you provide is the most important?????? But no was talking in a rude manner was not trying to be helpful and did not want to be there as someone who has worked in customer service before and has had training that was one of the most important part knowing how to talk to customers. Said the best he could do was a small because I ate half I did not (will show a photo) at this point I was upset at the way they treated me I wasn’t upset at the 18!!!! Dollars I spent it was the principal of how all the workers were talking and treating me and told me I could just give a review sooo I’m doing exactly that. He ended up taking the poutine but I asked for it back and he was hesitant because he probably had a hunch that I was going to take photos and videos of it (I did). Ended up calling security because he didn’t want to talk to me anymore and went into the back of the store until security came and was not telling the store correctly. So lastly I am greatly disappointed in how they handled and treated the situation and by belittling me and calling me a liar in the end I threw it out with out getting any compensation for it soooo will never come back and recommend you don’t either. Don’t get food here it’s over priced rude workers and managers and not tasty at all recently. ~ a dissatisfied and...
Read moreSuper disappointing, overpriced, poor service, poor quality ingredients, and small portions. I was excited to give this place a try. I normally eat quite healthy, and I also don't eat out often, but I do like a good poutine, so it was a big deal for me to try this.
The staff have zero customer service skills. The food is WAY overpriced. After taxes you're looking at almost $17 for a poutine - that is bananas when you think about just how little it costs to make one. You can go to a local restaurant in the village for that and get a decent meal with better service. The portions are small. My wife and I shared one, and there is honestly not enough of a serving to fill one person. As well, the photos of the different poutines have the serving size piling out of the container (hence the name mile high poutine), yet when we got ours (and everyone else we saw) it was below the top of the container and probably equated to around half of the amount in the photo. As well, the ingredients are of poor quality. Honestly, don't spend your money here, instead go to a good fry wagon and you get get a massive poutine that overflows the container, that is way better quality, with way better service, for less than half the price of this place.
After reading all the other terrible reviews, I am surprised that this place is...
Read moreI don't have huge complaints but it's definitely not the best poutine I've ever had. Poutine is inherently a delicious food so I can't give too much credit to their ability to put toppings on fries. I ordered the Nacho Libre Poutine - I got a large since it was only a dollar difference, but I should have known better. I definitely couldn't finish it. I did select a small tip, so my poutine was around $19 all in, which is pretty insane. I think this place was set up to disappoint my expectations because I cannot imagine how a $19 poutine should taste.
Price aside, I guess the taste was good - I liked the texture of the fries. The beef chili was a weird texture but the nacho cheese and sour cream overpowered it. No complaints about...
