Food is tasty enough. Going earlier in the day is better since that’s when ingredients are fully stocked and at their freshest. I’ve been several times but something very unpleasant happened during my last visit. With food being left out in the open, cleanliness is always a factor that restaurant staff should pay extra attention to. Not to mention the need to adhere to food preparation best practices. I discovered a short piece of hair (that looks suspiciously like armpit hair) inside my soup half way through eating. I did not cause a scene since the restaurant is full and I didn’t want to mess with a small business’s livelihood, but I probably would not go there again unless known changes are made to the restaurant’s sanitary policies during food preparation. With another malatang place that I frequent, there is a window where you can see how the kitchen staff prepares your food, all kitchen staff wear rubber gloves, with hair tied back (or hair nets), and long sleeve shirts to avoid arm hair falling in. I would feel much more comfortable in a place where such steps are taken to ensure food safety and cleanliness. Also to be aware of is they only accept cash or debit. I would have given this place 4.5 or 5 stars (for a fast food place) without the hair incident....

Came here the first time when I was picking up the food, one staff told me to move 2 times in a unpleasant tone for she to place items on the shelf. Cashier lady the same, makes me feel like she’s rushing me out by speaking super fast and rushed. After I picked a table to sit down and I went back to her for WiFi, she told me to move to another table when they get busy “later” because it’s “almost dinner time”. I mean at the moment there are at least 4 empty tables and no much customers yet=) she could totally do this when there are really more people coming in and they have to =) ALSO When I just finished, say no more than 4mins, while there’s still no one waiting for any extra table yet, the same lady came to me quickly and move my bowl IMMEDIATELY. Lmao.
So to sum up, the experience told me if anyone is A single eater for this place, u better pick a corner to sit, and u better finish real quick and better leave asap lol.
by the end when I left, I received the most welcome tone at the store so far by the lady told me” thank you! Bye!”
Made my day. Share my experience to everyone :)
I hope the staffs at this store are well treated by the owner. Since they are all weird stressed and rushed for...
Read moreI am from Vietnam. A Chinese colleague brought me here to introduce their street food. It's great that malatang has successfully won the heart of the Vietnamese girl. There are so many toppings here at extremely affordable prices. I absolutely love their sweet sausages, every time I come I eat at least 3 of them. The first time I tried spicy and sour soup, but the next time spicy bone stew won my heart. The stew is very light and delicious. I really like it. The restaurant space is a bit small and not too beautiful. But it's clean. If you come during peak hours, you will have to wait for a tablet. However, they serve the dish very quickly. It will be there in about 5 minutes. I always tip them. However, you know what. They have the option not to tip. If you want a delicious and cheap Chinese restaurant,...
