So i ordered a Mama burger combo, the lady on cash gave my order to another customer by mistake , that customer now sat down with my food not knowing it’s not his order. While waiting for my food i watched this gentlemen eat his fries and also check to see if the burger was the right one. When he realized it wasn't what he ordered he returned it to the lady . The cashier placed the tray of food on the counter by the food assembly line. At this point I can clearly see that tray is sitting there. She looked at me and said “sorry that was your order , since he touched the food we’ll make you a new order” and i said ok. Instead of making me a new order and possibly throwing that food out , she sneakily waited for a few minutes to go by and passed me that same tray that was returned by the previous customer hoping that I wouldn’t notice. But the entire time i was watching her. When she passed me the tray i said i don't want the food because thats the tray from that customer that returned it. She said “ sir its a new order” - i said its not a new order , and its the same tray from that gentlemen that returned it. I says ive been standing here watching you, and you did not change the fries or burger. She continued to argue with me. Not wanting to give me new food . After arguing with her for minutes , they eventually gave me a new order of fries and didn’t want to change the burger because she said he didn’t touch it. And I asked her how do you know that? She couldn’t answer my question and still refused to make me a new burger. At this point I was so fed up so I took the food and through it out. I paid money for food that I didn’t eat. Read moreI worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years, but never fast food. I can tell you that this restaurant will not pass a health inspection. This A&W is THE MOST DISGUSTING VOMIT INDUCING restaurant I have ever seen. When you walk in you are immediately hit with a foul odour, only to be followed up with a floor so filthy, so sticky, so unclean, that you will begin to wonder if you should just leave your shoes there and buy a new pair as they will never come clean again. Seriously the floor is reminiscent of stepping in black fettered water from the city dump. The suffering doesn't end there though. The cleanliness of the floor is matched only by the filthiness of the tables. Tables are sticky, uncleaned, covered in garbage, and sauce. It seems as though the staff has abandoned the dining area. If the dining area meant for customers is this bad, I don't want to know what the kitchen is like. But I can imagine. Ive seen restaurants with rats, maggots, mice and roaches before, but never all 4 in one place. I image this A is that place that has all 4 problems. I recommend burning this place to the ground, and perhaps the fire will be enough to cleanse it. What a shame Canada doesn't have many Fast Food franchises that are Canadian. And this place is a perfect example of why.

On Thursday, November 16, between 12:30 and 2:00 pm, I encountered an issue with the service at the front counter. The individual taking orders seemed disengaged, as he was consistently on his phone. Unfortunately, he left the front counter abruptly without completing my order, offering no explanation or apology.
I appreciate that the tall gentleman in the kitchen took the initiative to assist and completed my order courteously. However, the initial experience at the front counter, where the staff member was on his phone while taking orders, left a negative impression on me.
While I understand that staff may have personal matters, it seemed disrespectful to the guests, especially when taking orders. I believe a professional and attentive approach is crucial to providing a positive customer experience.
I bring this matter to your attention in the hope that steps can be taken to ensure a higher standard of customer service. I value the A&W brand and believe that addressing such concerns will contribute to maintaining the excellent reputation you strive for.
