Originally I went on Tuesday at 4:15pm and they already had a cut off for the line even though Bulk barn doesn’t close until 5pm. Really upsetting. Then we went back Wednesday around 3:30, stood outside in the heat for 40 minutes but finally got in. Now this review may sound negative at first but the employee, with really short purple or maybe pink hair, a baseball hat, not too tall, who said they loved my groot shirt changed my whole opinion on this location. I’m a bit of a candy fiend, especially the blue bon bons, which this employee was sooo excited to scoop for me. They had a really positive attitude and smiled the whole time! Unfortunately I did not get their name but they were really the best bulk barn employee I’ve ever met! I also asked if Bulk Barn had any strawberry flavoured candies and they knew exactly what to recommend! I usually go to the location in Stouffville (far away, I know) but none of the employees are so upbeat and personable there. If I lived closer, this location would be my go to! The only reason that I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars was the early line closure and the long wait, other than...
Read moreWORSE, RUDE - I recently made a purchase of $233 at your store and attempted to test a sample product to ensure its suitability for my intended purchase. However, the cashier on duty (cashier number, date, and time are on the receipt) displayed poor customer service by denying my request to test the sample. Upon reviewing your store's policy, I confirmed that customers are indeed permitted to test samples. I informed the cashier of this policy, but she responded in a confrontational manner, stating, "Are you trying to teach me the policy?" I clarified that I was merely informing her of the policy, not attempting to instruct her. This led to an escalation of the situation, with the cashier raising her voice and demanding that I leave the store. I am concerned about the level of customer service provided in this instance and would appreciate your attention to...
Read moreWe live in a new era with COVID- 19, so the Bulk Barn of the past had had to evolve. At one point things were pre-bagged but now you can scoope/poor you own items. I just don't like how a staff member at the front demands you to use the hand sanitizer. Just leave the bottle at the door and people will figure it out. There is always some kind of promotion happening so just keep your eyes open. Food, baking items, pet food, a honey pour station, a make your own peanut butter station (yes, you read that right) and unique soaps are...
