Was looking for a new spot for samosa. I normally go to Moti Mahal on gerrard Street. But it's always super busy. Which is good for them.
So I thought I'll give this mama and papa shop a try. I wasn't disappointed. The service was great. The lady serving me was sweet. There was not a lot of dining space, but there was a table with chairs where you could eat and dash if you really wanted to. I ordered 2 vegetarian samosa for $1.50 each and 1 chicken samosa for$ 1.99. They're were filling, and the spices were just wanted, I would want my samosa to taste spicy. If you're not a fan of spicy, then the vegetarian samosa isn't for you. But definitely give it try. They had burger and fries, poutine, and chicken biryani for a good price for $9.99 with pop. The veggie samosas are much improved (in my opinion) - now quite spicy and flavourful. However, the chicken samosas now seem to be heated-up frozen samosas from the grocery store. The texture of the pastry is totally different (it’s more like spanakopita than what they used to be like) and overall they are small and disappointing.
