This time, I ordered a porridge hot pot set meal for 2 people at Fu Niu Shun. After eating, I walked out with my hands on the wall! Not only is the porridge delicious, but the seafood side dishes are also very rich, full of freshness. As soon as it is served, you can smell the aroma of rice + seafood. The porridge base uses rice + lard + cordyceps flowers, which are thick and smooth. The entrance is full of rice fragrance and sweetness. All kinds of fresh seafood are served directly, lobster, abalone, octopus... Was downtown and found this place to go for lunch on a Sunday afternoon after going to AGO. It’s not longer called Ann’s Donburi but is called Forsure. No idea why there is a discrepancy there - but the phone number is the same.
With G6PDD it’s nearly impossible to find an Asian hotpot restaurant due to the ingredients in soup bases. I was pleasantly surprised that this restaurant was patient and willing to describe what ingredients are in the soup base, which was made in-house using beef bone. The food selection was decent with good beef choices & fresh.
The venue itself is ok, but the tables are very tight. And no space for high chairs (which we didn’t need) - but the tables and seats were not the most comfortable. However, this didn’t take away from the fact that the food was great and was fresh. The service was also very good.
The price point is extremely reasonable compared with other hotpot places.
All in all, I’m glad I found this place and would definitely come back...

Our server was a very nice lady who spoke fluent English and gave us recommendations. We ordered fried rice ($9.99) and I could not recommend it more. It is spicy, has a lot of meat and is incredibly delicious. It works great with their homemade hot pot sauces / dips ($1.99), and of course meats. Meats seem expensive at around $4.5 but the portions are decent and are of better quality than at AYCE places. Meats come with little flags which tell you that they need to be cooked for only 8 seconds or so. And finally, even though it makes no sense to pay for veggies $5.99, the serving size is huge. So one or two veggie plates is more than enough.
Overall, a great place that is an excellent alternative to AYCE places for similar kind of money, if you do not feel like...
