I ordered one yellow tail sashimi and one salmon sashimi for take out. When I opened the box, I realized that they seemed very old and had been frozen and defrosted several times. I returned to the store with the box since I couldn’t finish eating them after I found there was something inside of yellowtail sashimi as well as they were very fishy and had weird texture, which you could see from the picture. Unfortunately the store closed early, so I just had to throw them away. I order yellowtail and salmon all the time and never had this issue with other restaurants. Just don’t order sashimi or sushi here.. it was not cheap either. You could get a lot better for $30.

This is a lovely sushi place located on Front Street near St. Lawrence. Love that they have a variety of traditional Japanese food such as noodles, sushi and bento. Additionally they venture into fusion food as well. i.e. sushi lasagna, which I found very interesting and also thoroughly enjoyed it I thought the price range was decent and for the quality, I think it's worth it. A lovely couple run the place and they are very friendly and approachable. Think this is worth the visit when in the area and you crave and enjoy good Japanese food.

First time ordering here and im glad I did. I have a hard time with Japanese food as it can be expensive and small, but im impressed. The food portion was big, sashimi pieces are big and thick. Salmon and tuna had beautiful vivid colors. Their tempura was fresh and crispy, so was the salad. Plenty wasabi and i like that they dont use those soy sauce sachets. You get it in small plastic containers, which is way better. Will order here again!

Came here today with my mom and sisters, and I ordered the dynamite + California roll set, something I normally would never order but because the prices were so ridiculously expensive, i was trying to get the most for $21. My meal for just 8 piece + 6 piece California rolls were alone $21!! Like you're kidding me right? And I swear it wasn't even that great. The tempura shrimp inside the rolls were sooooo stale and the crisp wasn't even there. The rice on the rolls were so over cooked, that it tasted soggy. Everything that we ordered wasn't even premium rolls or had much fish ...my little niece ordered cucumber rolls, and my mom had like 4 PC sashimi and one California roll, and it worked to almost $100 . I mean it's different if I spent $100 and the food was amazingly good. But it wasn't that great for the price I paid. Especially the type of rolls we ordered wasn't even anything that unique. It's California and cucumber rolls for god sakes! I think considering that it's on Front St downtown Toronto , probably that's why your paying higher prices. But if I'm paying a high price for sushi , I want good sushi , I don't want to be.paying for your monthly rent and the location you are at. If were you, I'd save my money and go somewhere else. Believe me or not , I love sushi and I know good sushi...

I had high hopes for this place after reading the reviews on urbanspoon. The place looks nice and clean. My GF and I decided to order the 40 piece sashimi platter. When it came to the table the sushi chef had plopped down 20 pieces of salmon with only a few other options to make up the rest of the 40 pieces. HALF of a 40 piece platter was all the same kind of fish!!?? I have never seen this done before at ANY sushi place and I have been to hundreds over the years including Japan. This is just pure laziness. People order a sashimi platter to get a variety of fresh fish. There was no octopus, surf clam, squid, yellowtail etc. I brought it to the attention of the waitress who just said there are no substitutions. I counted out to her all 20 salmon pieces and said "don't you have any octopus, surf clam or squid? We like salmon but 20 pieces is kinda ridiculous" She took it back and the lazy chef just gave us five more of the bad snapper ...(which was not snapper btw) and left us with 15 slices of salmon. Had I known the fish would be sub par I would have walked right there and then. I will never go back EVER! Worst sashimi I...

Gotta love a neighbourhood Japanese Sushi restaurant. Situated on Front Street, it is near all the tourist attractions. When life was normal, you could zip into this place for a quick bite before heading to your next destination. I just so happen to walk past this joint on my home from work everyday, and also am very thankful they are still open during the pandemic. I will not lie. I am a creature of habit and I always order the Chirashi dinner. I love how there's a generous amount of slices of fresh fish variety on the sushi rice. It comes with a salad and soup. And also they will give an appertizer on the house as well out of the kindness of their heart. They have always been very polite and efficient with their service. I give them many...
