Hakka Palace — Restaurant in Toronto

I said 5 times that I need chilli chicken DRY on fried rice. Pick up was fast. I went home and found out it was a chicken chicken GRAVY. I rushed to store ( came back 10 mins after closing time), when they are about to close, the lady taking order argued that I ordered chilli chicken gravy rice. I did not expect to prepare the food for me after the close, but simply acknowledge the misunderstanding. The lady is so very rude. The the owner said he will refund the next working day and I left the food with them. Dear Lady, do you think I do not have any other work? Do you think I go home and come back after 30 mins to cheat you with wrong dish? Pls learn to respect customer.

I went back the following Monday(Sunday being closed) and they blamed me for the wrong order. the owner and the chef were so rude and have threatening tone even after I said to check the their restaurant Camera recording. I just have to come back with out food or money. they rudely offered money back and I did not take. The other reason I did not take money back is that they yelled at the same lady who took order saying they will cut that order money from her pay. Keep it up Hakka Palace, you have long way to go with this rude and threatening behaviour.

I reiterate that the chef yelled right In front of me that the order money would be cut from her pay. If she is family as per your reply, I don’t know how some one can cut pay. Hakka Palace have been around since the 1990’s. Most of the time, I do take outs. I usually call it in and pickup about 20 minutes later. Don’t forget to ask for your pickup number at the time of order. Debit or Cash payment only.

This is the first time I dined in with my friends. This place is small and cozy. The lady that served us was very attentive and fast. She got it down to a science. She gave us water to drink and our cutleries while we waited for our food. The food came out quickly one by one for our party of four. We were done in less than an hour tops. I remembered our Server came over mid way through our meal with a pitcher of water just in case we needed it. She even gave us our take out containers before we asked for it which was nice as we were tight on timing. You know that crazy Lunch rush. There was a steady stream of customers including a Police Cop picking up his own food.

I ordered the Chilli Chicken (dry and mild) with white rice. Perfectly done to my liking. All my friends were happy with their orders too and packed all of their left overs home...

If there is lower than 1 star that'll be the rating I will give. So disappointed! We decided to dine in instead of take out. We sat and waited to take our order but no one came. Mind you , no one is seated except us two. My husband went to the counter to give our order. Okay fine take out orders were busy. Here comes our order, wth? Food were served in take out containers!!! I asked for water, the lady just turned her back and said we sell bottled water. We were what? no option of tap water. So rude! Here's comes the best part. Went to the counter again to get our bill and pay, cash or debit only by the way. Surprised there's 10% automatic service fee! Asked why we are just 2 people we understand if it is group of at least 6. But that is not the end of it, the 10% service were charge before tax! So I paid service fee and tax us on the service that we did not receive. Nothing of good service at all. The food is okay but it is not Hakka food that we are expecting. It is just regular Szechuan dish. Will never come back or never even take out. NOT...
