KFC — Restaurant in Toronto

2021 Feb. 10: Horrible. The oil on the chicken tasted a million years old and rancid. I was left with a horrible taste in my mouth all evening even after brushing, gargling with mouthwash and eating a pickle in desperation. I could only eat one of two pieces.

I am also suspicious that the chicken pieces were cooked in oil twice. I believe they re-cooked yesterday's food for me today.

The coleslaw did not taste fresh either but I still ate it, a little bit left over-y sensation. The gravy was delicious as usual. The 5 (ha ha) fries were fine smothered in gravy.

This is the first time I've had a horrible meal here in my neighbourhood. I don't have the receipt otherwise I would go back and get a refund.

Also I note today the size of the fries package and chicken pieces are reduced almost 50%. I don't care about the size, I don't care about paying for more but rancid oil and recooking food is a deal breaker obviously.

Order took far longer than estimated, nearly 2 hours. I called at 75 mins and was told “5 mins”. Food arrives and is barely warm and grease soaked (delivery guy said he "just picked it up” ). Chicken was so greasy, the skin was falling off, and oil was pooled at the bottom of the container. Fries were cold and soggy, and the popcorn chicken was barely warm and squashed into the container. Called KFC “customer service” and a less than sympathetic person with a heavy accent told me I have to talk to the store. He transferred me, but they did not answer the phone. Called back customer service and was told they would email the store and to expect a response. Never heard from them. This place is run down, and makes terrible food, but you can’t choose the location when you call for delivery. I’m now looking at the many bad online reviews of this franchise, and it seems KFC Canada is unaware, or does not care. This is my third bad experience with this location, and there will not...

The rudest staff I've ever encountered at a KFC location. The cashier made us wait for her to put in two uber orders before taking ours. Then when she did, she tried not to accept a coupon code that I downloaded from the KFC website because she said the code was invalid. I made the code extremely big on my phone and she still said it didn't work, assuming I didn't didn't understand English and what the word "code" meant. Another coworker had to come out and enter it for her. The food took a long time to come out and the girl didn't even put utensils in the bag. When I went back in to ask for utensils, she condescendingly asked "anything else I can do for you, sir?" with a big smirk on her face. All this happened in front of the store manager, who is clearly her family member, and did not do anything to rectify the situation. I will not return do this location and will tell...
