Kung Fu Tea on Spadina (Downtown Toronto) — Restaurant in Toronto

You don't need to know Kungfu to be at this bubble tea shop. With an ever growing saturation of bubble tea in the market, it's hard to pick your choice of bubble tea places sometimes. Stumbled upon Kungfu Tea in Chinatown so came here and decided to pop on in to try their bubble tea.

I was surprised but this is one of the nicer bubble tea locations that's quite spacious and a good amount of table seating here for you to sit down and really enjoy your bubble tea. I ordered one of their top 10 bubble tea choices which is the Milk King. I thought it was quite good. Wasn't too sweet and milky which was perfect for me. It's a nice refreshing drink that already includes toppings. The tapioca was nice and chewy and the grass jelly was just the right amount of sweetness. A good bubble tea place with some unique options. Their model here is quite similar to Chatime's as they allow you to choose ice and sugar levels which is always a nice option. However, their main selling point here is that they sweeten their drinks using honey instead of regular old sugar. I found no difference in the taste however. The Taro Pearl Milk Tea I got was great and had little pieces of taro in addition to the pearls.

Service here was good and the place itself is clean and bright and has plenty of seating.

The pricing here, again, is almost identical to Chatime's. Most drinks are within the $4 range for a medium, while choosing the large size is an extra 50 cents.

It's been a while since I've had my BBT fix, so stopped by here after dinner with friends. The brown sugar seems to be the craze now, and I didn't want to wait forever at that one on Cambie in Vancouver, so I tried it here.

It was good. I mean the pearls were good, the tea milk was good, I'm not a big fan of sweet, but I personally didn't see what the big thing about this brown sugar thing is...but back to the reveiw for KF Tea.

I would have given you a 4 star, but you need to take care of your bathrooms. It was really just unpleasant to have to walk in to an unflushed toilet, seat wasn't dry, they had run out of paper towels....this rating has more to do with the overall appearance and maintenance and I think you can do a better job, considering you do...
