Follow @bredgyeats for more food pictures! Meat Platter Combo of cooked kitfo, tibs, chacha tibs, split peas, lentil, collard greens, and three portions of injera. Kitfo was well seasoned and spiced, while the tibs had a much more buttery, aromatic flavour. Chacha had a caramelized onion and black pepper sauce which had lots of umami with a rich sweetness, and a slight lamb gameyness. All meats were well done so it was a little tough and dry. Injera wasn't overly sour either and was quite nice to eat.

My boyfriend took me here for dinner on my birthday because I've been craving Ethiopian food and this place did not disappoint. It's not fancy or over the top and in my experience, I find the non-descript spots are always the best. The service was great, the atmosphere is cozy and homey. We got the shareable meat and veggie plate. The portions were great and the lamb stew is definitely a fav. I also had a cup of fresh ginger tea that was A1. Definitely going to go back.

This is the first time we were very disappointed with Ethiopian food. The young lady got our order wrong. The Tibs and the meat/vegetables platter weren't satisfactory at all. When we mentioned to the other lady (Hadash, I believe), she brought us some gravy of the Dorowot, which was the real thing! I wonder why they don't prepare all the dishes with typical Ethiopian spices! To make up for the disappointment, she served us Ethiopian coffee.

I came here one evening with a couple of friends. The waitress (I believe it was Lucy) was very friendly.

Both of my friends were vegetarians, and there was only veggie option on the menu. We thought there would be more.

I had the lamb, which was really tasty (loved the sauce), but there were bones. There was a pancake that came with everything. I wasn't really a big fan of it myself. I didn't care for the texture and didn't seem to have much flavour.

The kitchen was open late (until 12). It seems like Lucy is the one that does both the cooking and serving. It took a long time to get our bill afterwards (we had to go up to the bar and ask for it).

The music was pretty loud for a restaurant, though it seemed like more of a local hangout as there were people sitting at the small bar watching sports on the huge TV.

It seemed very authentic, just not my...

WONDERFUL, charming, casual, intimate, family owned restaurant with exemplary service, large portions and reasonable prices. We were unfamiliar with this restaurant but because of of the fantastic reviews online (5 stars out of 5 from everyone!), we thought we would give it a try. The other reviewers were right, both the vegetarian and meat dishes were superb and the chef/owner was willing to adjust the spices for our young kids. It's child friendly and my kids huffed down their favourite, zilzil tibs (beef with bell peppers plus salad with lemon/olive oil and slightly spicy creamy lentil puree) all scooped up with injera (spongy Ethiopian flat bread). Will definitely return and will bring some friends along. It deserves to keep its all 5 stars...

First time in Toronto, Canada! I had to get my cultural food so I searched and I felt drawn to this place. I drove 30mins and I must say my family and I aren’t disappointed. The restaurant is small and felt like home. Hadas, very welcoming and motherly made us feel like we’re were at home. The server, Haftom was very nice and professional, welcomed us with a big smile. Food was amazing! We had the platter and also tibs, very delicious!!! She made coffee and popcorn. My mother had a cup tea, my dad had coffee. They said it was very good. Overall, we give Hadas and her team 5 ⭐️ 💯 Thanks for the best service. We will definitely come back...
