This was my first visit. I was excited to try their famous Napoli Dynamite, and So Mushroom. We ordered the two large pizza combos, which included two dips and four drinks for $70. The restaurant only had one table available. Fortunately, we were the only people dining-in at the time, and we were able to enjoy the food onsite without much waiting. All necessary dining amenities like paper plates, forks, and napkins were available upon request. Both pizzas were served promptly in 20 minutes. We were pleased to see the generous amount of toppings. What caught my eyes were the robust crust that was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Napoli Dynamite was an explosion of flavours - A tangy start with green olives, followed by crumbled house-made Italian sausage, and punctuated with pickled jalapeños. The combination of these robust ingredients gave the pizza rich flavour profile, reminiscent of a perfect marriage between Bolognese and Arrabbiata. So Mushroom, on the other hand, was more of a quiet symphony. Topped with sliced cremini mushrooms and an array of cheeses, it was slightly greasy but delightfully complex. The white base sauce added more depth. However, its sophisticated flavours seemed to be overshadowed by the presence of the more flavour-forward Napoli Dynamite. One minor issue was the inconsistent size of the pizza slices, with some being almost three times bigger than others. Some might overlook this, but I found it slightly inconvenient. Also, the dipping sauce options were slightly disappointing. I initially chose creamy garlic parmesan, but upon seeking another recommendation, I got the spicer variant. It merely added chilli oil and flakes to the original, offering little variety. In retrospect, I would have appreciated being informed about other flavours like the dill butter ranch. Despite these minor hiccups, our overall experience at Maker Pizza was quite pleasant. We were there for the pizzas, and I think they delivered on the quality. If you are in the area and in the mood for pizza, I think this place is worth...

Bumping these guys up to 5 stars.
After posting my review Maker reached out to me and gave me a really generous credit, something I didn't expect and they honestly did not have to do.
Used it to get a fully loaded pizza for myself and a friend and it was phenomenal (note: Everything Bagel crust is delish but sticky). Their delivery times were better, and my order actually came way earlier than anticipated which was a bonus.
These guys are in demand so do yourself a favour and order about 90 minutes before you need your pizza. Their delivery times are better than before though.
Five stars.
Two stars and I'm being generous because I like Maker and I like Matty.
Ordered from Maker tonight and was unsatisfied with the overall process and quality of the pie. Maker makes a mean pizza, in my previous experiences they've been delicious. They're on the pricier side, but I'll happily put up the extra money for a good pie from a local spot.
Tonight was disappointing. I placed my order at 7:58 in their app - which as far as I can tell doesn't show estimated prep/delivery times prior to ordering. It was estimated at about an hour and 40 minutes, which is already a lot of time for delivery of anything - but sure, it's Maker, I'll wait.
My pizza arrived at 10:30, two and a half hours later. It was warm-ish. I nuked it and it was fine. I called at 10:00 and waited on hold for 15 minutes with nobody picking up.
Sorry guys, $45 for a lukewarm pie with a two and a half hour wait isn't worth it. At all. There are other really good pizza spots in Toronto that can get you food in under 3 hours on a Friday night.
Don't see myself ordering from y'all again. I get you're a small operation, and I want to support your business, I really do, but the service for price point...
Read moreThis pizza is awesome and I can’t stress that enough, but I just had a pretty lame side-quest experience. I don’t want to make them feel bad about it but maybe mentioning it could help them consider changing this weird policy. I’m a maritimer and I just raved to my pals about donair sauce which is an iconic east-coast staple and knowing that they sold it we ordered some za. Last time I was there I noticed it was in the fridge with the other sauces (I.e. the garlic sauce which is awesome) and I took note. When I got there this time they wouldn’t sell it to me because it had to be paired with the garlic fingers (another east-coast classic which is totally served with donair sauce). They said because of portion control for the garlic fingers they wouldn’t sell it to me. Sauces there are 5 bucks which is already wild but actually kinda worth it. In fairness there was a little handwritten note upon observation in the fridge that said you aren’t allowed to buy it but man oh man if you aren’t gonna sell it don’t get my hopes up. Put it in the back or something. Spent like 15 minutes getting my friends psyched on this sauce cause I knew it was right there in the fridge and they refused to sell it to me. I never leave bad reviews ever, this is my first time. I wish all the best to the employees of maker pizza and I truly do recommend it to anyone because it rules. I am only writing this I n an attempt to maybe get these fine folks to let us get dippin in the glory of halifax’s official saaauce. That or don’t put it in the fridge and...
