I live close by and ordered from here a lot previously. Especially during the pandemic. Food was always great, no issues. Once they opened the dining room, the takeout meals were not like they used to be. Missing items, not including side sauces, soy sauce, wasabi forgotten.

The last couple of times that I got the vegetarian sushi, it just completely fell apart and I had to eat it like a salad. I’m not sure if the quality of food, the rice wasn’t tight enough around the vegetables or it was too soft I’m not sure, or if ingredients have changed or perhaps their chefs but you guys were so great and this is just really disappointing.

One thing I have to say is were are always very lovely and kind at the door. In the beginning when they first opened we went here all the time- they were wonderful. Now I don’t see them anymore, no issue with the staff now but before they were just so lovely and made us want to spend money here. Maybe changed ownership which would...

I went in today to pick up a sushi order, and the service I received was shockingly unprofessional. Since this was a pick-up order, I did not leave a tip — how could I, when I haven’t even tried the food yet? There was no table service involved, so a tip was not appropriate.

The waitress’s response was completely unacceptable. She was visibly irritated, walked slowly to the kitchen, said something angrily to the cook, and then came back and practically shoved the sauce tray into my hand while glaring at me.

I felt disrespected and frankly assaulted by her behavior. Customer service staff should never treat guests this way, regardless of tips. Expecting tips for take-out and then acting rudely when one isn’t given is absolutely unprofessional.

I will not be returning, and I hope management takes this seriously because this kind of behavior ruins the dining experience...

Have gone to higher end sushi places and paid a fortune. Decided to not break the bank to get my wasabi buzz and tried this little nook. Paid $9.50 for a glass of Sawmill Pinot Grigio. No measure on the menu but it was a very generous pour!! I only drink white with my sushi and I don’t care for small glasses of wine and that lofty markup. The one glass of wine got me through my meal and some left over to sip at the end. The nigiri was 2 pieces each and were big pieces. The price was way cheaper than the other high end sushi places. I would say the grade of sushi did not seem as high as the other expensive places but I ate 14 pieces of nigiri and it was great. I will definitely go back here again. The fish was really fresh, that is what matters most to me. And the cost was cheap for that...

Fantastic, fresh and delicious sushi from this little family run hidden gem! My partner and I enjoyed everything we ordered and were surprised by the freshness of the food. Portions were great value and the rice to meat ratios are on point. They have a huge menu with all lot of sushi/sashimi options and unique rolls, along with a large kitchen menu. Keep in mind this is a family run spot and they do not boast a large staff, so if you are in a big rush/looking for something fancy look elsewhere. But if you want to enjoy an incredible meal with super friendly service in a charming, homey environment, then look no further!

Disappointed with most of the Japanese restaurants in Toronto, so I was expecting better food from this place since the reviews were very good. Karaage( fried chicken) was very dry and hard. The spicy sauce was spilled all over in the container. My child couldn’t eat any. Two different kind of rolls were in the same container, so it all messed up… They said to pick up in 40 minutes, but my husband and my son had to wait extra 30 minutes. Compensation was instant miso soup, broth only. I wish the owner or chef visit Japan at least once and learn the food. Not coming back.
