3-3.5 stars out of 5. My partner and I ordered one Snowy Jasmine and one Premium Jasmine Super Matcha. The biggest critique we have is of the price- it is definitely premium ($8+ per drink), while the amount of drink you get is not a lot. Perhaps around ~500mL? However, I did enjoy the Premium Jasmine Super Matcha. Molly Tea definitely has the nicest jasmine-flavored teas, if you like jasmine. On the other hand, my partner thought the Snowy Jasmine drink was just alright. He believed that the cream/foam on top added nothing to the drink besides aesthetics. I’d say that Molly Tea serves a very “purist”style of milk tea, however this is not necessarily a bad thing (ex. Tapioca is not on the menu).

Additionally, the tea was not sweet (we ordered the recommended 70% sugar)- my partner thought it was a perfect level of sweetness for him, while I thought it could be a bit sweeter, but overall was happy with the sweetness of the drink.

The service was good; all the staff do collectively announce hello and goodbye whenever somebody leaves or enters, however, this is common across many bubble tea chains in China. The decor and theme of the store itself is very chic and minimalistic, which I thought was tasteful.

Tldr: The drinks are alright, but pricier than other places. Overall, I would say it is a good place to try if you enjoy...

I went for their grand opening BOGO free event today, the line was pretty short around 2pm. From the time we got in line to getting our drinks, it only took about 20 minutes (can't speak for other times of the day). The drinks were SO GOOD. I personally am a huge fan of jasmine tea and matcha so I had to get the jasmine matcha milk tea. The matcha was strong but the jasmine tea was even stronger, so it overpowered the matcha imo, but was still delicious. We also tried the regular jasmine milk tea which was also good; other bubble tea shops usually taste super milky or watery but their jasmine tea is super strong. I wouldn't recommend to drink any of this on an empty stomach.

Minus one big fat star for the price. The matcha drink was more expensive so we were charged for that and it came out of a WHOPPING $9.55 after tax..... that could buy you a whole meal....

4 stars for an amazing drink and good service despite how busy they were for the event but seriously don't see people (myself included) coming back at these...

Stood in line for Day 2 of Grand Opening as an excited tea lover of non-East Asian descent. The staff kept talking to the other lined up customers in Chinese, and making announcements in Chinese, which included herding a bunch of people into a second line which somehow got them a chance to get in before me, even though I was among the first 15 in line. And I didn’t even know on what basis these people got to go ahead of me (influencers? Some secret promotion I was not aware of?) because all these interactions happened in Chinese, which I clearly did not speak. I’m sure I could not have been the only visibly non-East Asian person in the line, yet I was constantly ignored and overlooked by the staff who catered exclusively to their Chinese clientele. I have never before felt so discriminated against and purposefully excluded, a truly terrible customer service (and HUMAN) experience. The drinks were good, but unfortunately I will not be going back because of this. Clearly they do not need or want...

I was lucky enough to visit Molly Tea with a friend before it officially opened to the public, and I have to say, it lived up to the anticipation! By now, they should be open and ready to serve customers, so definitely give them a try. The shop itself is cozy and designed for takeout only, but don’t let that stop you from experiencing their incredible teas. The staff greeted us with such a warm and formal welcome—it really set the tone for a great visit. We started with their premium Jasmine tea, a standout staple with a depth of flavor you won’t find at your usual tea spots. Next, we tried their matcha, which was perfectly balanced with its earthy richness and customizable sweetness. Finally, we had the Snowy Jasmine, their eye-catching signature drink. It was sweet, refreshing, and beautifully balanced with the floral depth of jasmine tea. Overall, Molly Tea is a great choice for fresh, flavorful teas that feel just a little more special. Definitely worth a visit for tea lovers!
